Description
In 2015, Hubbard’s Cave was developed as an alternative to our Belgian Style Ales. Producing American Style ales, primarily imperial stouts and Hubbard’s Cave signature Fresh IIPAs, Hubbard’s Cave is a refreshing addition to the Une Anneé Family. Named after the Chicago Hubbard Street traffic tunnel on Interstate 90/94, next to where the brewery was born, Hubbard’s Cave has quickly grown to produce some of our most popular offerings.

Aromas are Citrus Pine Forest resin, medicinal, a little pale malt. Flavors are like nose, bittersweet with a stronger medicinal finish.

750ml bottle from Tavour shared with my daughter. Nose is vanilla, chocolate, milk sugar, and a hint of char. Black with few enough bubbles for a Lost Abbey beer when I used to belong to the Saints and Sinners. Flavor is moderately sweet chocolate, vanilla caramels, and a hint of smoke. Flat but tasty.

Can - V1 - no idea if this is really where this rating belongs - the entries for this beer are a clusterfuck, so I'm guessing they're all eventually going to be under here anyway - super cloudy pour - nose of dull citrus - flavor is muddy but sharp, finishing with pithy citrus - not bad, just indistinct and sharp - I grow weary of these kinds of IPAs.
