Golden orange with a small white head. Smell reminds me of an orange creamcicle. Taste is orange and tangy- nice, but not something I'd drink on a regular basis.

Very good orange aroma. slightly darker than your standard lager. Flavor is light with lots of orange and some coriander. Made me think of soda. But I don't understand everyone who bought the bottle with the orange, that says orange, and then are pissed off when it delivers the orange. Extra points for innovation and trying something new. I like it.

Hazy orange-amber in color, small head. Looks nice. Smells like fresh pumpkin pie- and I happen to love pumpkin pie. Lots of spices in there. A nice, but a bit plain flavor. The taste is much weaker than the scent.

Enticing aroma of light malt, spicy hops and fresh orange zest. Yellow gold with lacy head. The oranges work less well in the flavor, however, with an unbalanced presentation. The beer is a tad too sweet, the orange flavors dominate and leave the palate wet and cloying. Not nearly as refreshing as it ought to be - and also a weird choice for a winter seasonal. A drier finish and it makes a good spring or summer seasonal.

Orange/amber colour with a fairly thin white head. Smells of pumpkin (duh!), malt, spices and even a bit of sugar are clearly evident in the aroma. Light-bodied; Very subtle tastes of pumpkin & malt are basicaly the only flavours that come across in the taste. Some metallic twang is noticeable in the middle of the taste. Aftertaste is almost nothing, but there is some residual bitterness from the pumpkin spice and from the malt. Overall, not a good beer for the style or in general. If you are looking for Pumpkin, take a drive to Post Road and stay away from Buffalo Bill! I bought this twelve ounce bottle at Total Wine in Chantilly, Virginia and sampled it on 12-September-2003.

The strong aroma of pumpkin and ginger was really promising on this one, but the flavor really didn''t deliver. With a little more pumkpin flavor and a little less carbonation I think it would have been a "must-buy" every year around Halloween. As it stands though it was like a lot of fruit beers I have tried where the bark was better than the bite. I am going to try to hunt down a Pumpkin Stout!

1998 bottle This is an outstanding Pumpkin ale, though i havent had it in a while so its tough to compare it to my current favorite, Empire Pumpkin Ale. It has a nice strong spice aroma that leaves quickly to make room for a medium full body and good hearty pumpkin taste. 2003 bottle Well, either I didnt know good beer 5 years ago, or they just dont brew this like they used to. Probably a mix of both. Whatever the case, this is now a drainpour in my opinion (I poured mine out in bitter disappointment). This beer can be easily replicated by taking club soda and stirring in some sugar, and lots of pumpkin pie spice. Enough said.

Gross. Loaded with pumpkin pie spice - overdone and doesn't work in beer. The pumpkin flavor is fine but leave the spices out. Chemically as well - probably due to the spice interactions with the malt. Otherwise very nice orange-copper color.
