22 oz. bottle. It pours black with a tan head. The aroma has some strong cinnamon, ginger and allspice in that order. Maybe a hint of squash and a decent amount of hard roasted malt. The flavor is thankfully, less spiced and more roasted with some decent rich notes of caramel and cocoa. The finish is still hard roasted, but it falls short of being too ashy or dirty. The spices are pretty well balanced, but still a tad much for my palate. Overall, this was a solid pumpkin stout as they go... I think the oatmeal helped give it more body to support the roast and spice.

Pour is a black with a huge overflowing tan head. Aroma is full on spice. Cinnamon and nutmeg are all over the place. Flavor is a nice rich and creamy roasted malt and the spice then come in to make this a super rich roasted oat and spiced beer. You get both the oatmeal stout aspect and also the pumpkin beer aspect. This was a solid beer. Plenty roasted and spiced.

Old rating. Bottle from Old Town. Aromas of pumpkin pie, clove, cinnamon all present on the nose. Average carbonation but texture is a little too thin. Light to medium body and slightly sweet on the palate. Just OK.

12 ounce bottle into pint glass, best before 11/13/2014. Pours lightly hazy/cloudy orange/copper color with a 1 finger dense off white head with good retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Light spotty lacing clings on the glass, with some light streaming carbonation. Aromas of pumpkin, toasted biscuit, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, clove, and herbal/toasted earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance and solid complexity of bready malt, pumpkin, and spice notes; with solid strength. Taste of pumpkin, toasted biscuit, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, clove, and herbal/toasted earthiness. Minimal bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of pumpkin, toasted biscuit, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, clove, and herbal/toasted earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Good balance and solid robustness of bready malt, pumpkin, and spice flavors; with no cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and light-medium bodied; with a very smooth and slightly creamy/bready mouthfeel that is ok. A little watered down feeling in mouthfeel, but not bad. Alcohol is well hidden with zero warming present after the finish. Overall this is a very solid pumpkin ale. All around good balance and solid robustness/complexity of bready malt, pumpkin, and spice flavors; and very smooth to drink. A pleasantly enjoyable offering.

This was poured into a pint glass.
The appearance was a decent dark brown color with a one finger white foamy head that dissipated within about a minute leaving some light lacing sliding and sticking at various times throughout the consuming of this beer.
The smell had a roasty sort of light chocolate quality with the blueberry in the background.
The taste was basically the same.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a decent sessionability about it. It seemed appropriately carbonated for the style and for me. There’s no aftertaste whatsoever, but it does have a dry finish.
Overall, good beer I could see myself having almost every Spring.

Aroma right up front is citrus /oranges. Disappointed that is does not have a substantial cream ale body or mouth feel. Light airy head, oranges dominate aroma and taste. A good summer beer, easy to drink and refreshing, but lacks most of the true cream ale characteristics.
