About
Ei8ht Ball Brewing was a microbrewery that opened up in the back of The Party Source in the Bellevue / Newport (Greater Cincinnati) area. They eventually would go on to can and distribute in Ohio and Kentucky. The closed up shop in 2017 when the owners decided to focus on their bourbon distilling business instead.

Nice chocolate malt and nutty flavor with a bit of dark road malts but just a faint backbone. Sweet. Medium full body. Quite easy to drink and very enjoyable.

Sample at Brass Tap Polaris. Clear copper-amber color with a medium off-white head that recedes steadily to an outer ring. Stringy lacing. Aroma of malt, hops and fruit. Medium body with flavors of earthy hops, fruit and grainy malt. The finish is mildly bitter with a short citrusy hops aftertaste. Decent overall.

Draft: Cloudy, orange-amber with an off-white head. Pumpkin spices, light coffee scent. Roasted pumpkin, nutmeg, creamy flavour... Didn’t get much coffee out if it, really...more of a roastiness than anything. Tasty...nicely blended....very enjoyable.

Draft: Clear gold with a small, off-white head. Light grapefruit-peel, lemon aroma. Taste is grapefruit, orange.... Very crisp....lemony.

Draft: Hazy amber with a small, off-white head. Grain malt, cold coffee/tea aroma. Taste is sweet tea and coffee malt.....a little orange-peel. Light coffee ground bittering. Different...but pretty good.

Draft. Sugar, nutmeg, cinnamon, pumpkin malt, and light coffee malt aroma. Hazy golden yellow with small head. Sweet light nutmeg/cinnamon and roasted pumpkin malt flavor. Light coffee finish. Coffee is pretty subdued but still seems to balance the spice nicely.

Draft. Nutmeg, cinnamon, and pumpkin malt aroma. Amber with small head. Sweet nutmeg, cinnamon, pumpkin, malt, and mildly bitter herbal flavor. Good body. Good, standard pumpkin ale - strong spice.

Draft. Fresh wood, lemon, and light biscuit malt aroma. Medium yellow with small head. Lightly woody lemon malt and moderately bitter hay flavor. Harsh alcoholic finish.
