Bottle shared at Lucky Bamboo share. Thanks Andrew and Aaron. Pours a deep brown to black with a finger of brown foam that lingers. Peanut butter forward with dark chocolate and wet cardboard aromas. Nose is not very welcoming. On the palate, dry roasted peanut butter and dark chocolate bitterness. Not sweet at all. Tastes much better than it smells. Lingering dry peanut butter flavors.

Draft at Iowa Taproom. Deceptive porter color, thin head, as befits the last glass in a sampler flight. Smell is of peanut butter, of course. But not overly sugary. Taste is peanutty, too, but pleasantly so. Not like the old Canfield's Diet Peanut Butter Fudge soda (my 21 y-o niece just drew a blank expression when I mentioned that). Also brings up a bit of coffee and cocoa roast. Nice, but I wouldn't want this to be my only beer of the night.
