Bottle at DHL during Paul’s pre-wedding Belgium weekend. Clear, bright yellow pour with a big, white head. Great beer, good balance. Mild bitterness throughout, modest bready character. Good beer. Very nice drinker.

33cl bottle.

33cl bottle, BB 06/06/2013, should be best as a specialty grains.

Pale blond colour, white head. Fresh hoppy aroma, grass, citrus, malt, green banana, fruity yeast. Quite light flavour, light sweet, light bitter. Light, short finish.
Lovely, solid saison nose. Lacking a bit of body, but that’s not strange considering the ABV. Overall La Binchoise / Belgoo is definitely going strong imho.

My first beer in this line. +++ Sampled from an 11.2 oz brown bottle this beer poured a cloudy golden-amber color with a large creamy yellow-white head that lingered and left good lacing. The aroma was tart and bitter lemon and lime with faint bread and moderate sugar. The flavor was tart and tangy with an artificial sugar presence, moderate lemon and lime and touches of chalk and bread. The finish was long tart lemon and lime candy. Moderately full bodied. Odd but interesting.

33cl bottle from La Trappiste in Canterbury. Clear pale gold colour, lasting thick white head. Quite an attractive Belgian blond beer to be honest. Does all the right things well. Quite good biting hop. Not overly estery but some interesting yeast aroma and flavour. i like the rich golden syrup flavour and good hop finish. Refreshing and dare I say it, enjoyable.
