great coffee-colour with brownish head; aroma of dark chocolate;taste of coffee-like bitterrness and roasted sugar. a bit overrated brand’s really overrated beer; for this price it is not really recommended

Ein zwölfgrädiges Helles und damit eines von vielen in und aus Tschechien. Die imposante Flasche lässt viel vermuten, aber man erhält ein solides, einfaches Helles -nicht mehr und nicht weniger. Kann man schon trinken, aber es extra zu besorgen zahlt sich nicht aus.

On tap at some sushi bar in Berlin, guess it’s this beer (no type mentioned in the menu). Clear deep golden colour, white head. Aroma is sweet, light malty, light grassy. Flavour is also medium sweet, light malty, light honey, light bitter finish. A bit overcarbonated, and not very tasty imo. Light-bodied.

330 ml bottle poured in to a flute. Clear, golden colour with a creamy, white head. A darker tint. Sweet aroma with pale/bread malts, grains, hay and grassy hops. Taste is light sweet. Medium body with a thinner texture, lively carbonation. Finishes lightly bitter with grassy hops. Simple but crisp, drinkable pilsener.

(tap@Catford Bridge Tavern, SE London) Tasted/rated from just before it closed down (temporarily I hope) a couple weeks ago. Pours clear gold with a healthy white head, light/medium body. Aroma is light hops and malty sweet. Taste is citrus hops and biscuit malt. Overall not a great pilsner fan, but quite liked this one.

50cl bottle, BB 26/01/2013. Dorée,/orangée, col fin blanc. Arôme est léger malté, houblonné tchèque Saaz avec un bouquet léger grains. Palais est typique du style sans être dans les meilleurs Bohémienne que j’ai déjà pu déguster. Malté moyen pils, houblon Saaz laissant un fine amertume citronnée, certaine douceur résiduelle de grains perdure.

Bedankt Sebletitje. 50 cl. fles gedeeld met Belgbeergeek & Sebletitje @ Belgian Ratebeer Winter Gathering of Ultimate Evil. Wazig gouden, zonnig gouden met een redelijke witte kraag – min of meer hoe een pils dus eruit moet zien. Ruikt redelijk zoet, graan, wat maïs toetsen, witte suiker, brood, lichtjes artificieel. Smaak is ultrasimpel en gelijkaardig, doet een beetje artificieel aan, zoet, simpel, graan, maïs toetsen, wit brood, gist, witte suiker en wat lichte zoete hop. Gemiddeld tot licht mondgevoel. De simpele, beetje nep zoetheid doet er wat vanaf maar slecht is het niet en moeilijk is het ook niet om te drinken.

Bottle. Pours slightly hazy, very dark brown with light tan head. Sweetish aroma if malt and caramel. Ditto taste. A decent schwatzbier, but nothing really extraordinary.

Bottle. Pours clear dark golden with an airy white head. Light aroma of hop and malt. Hoppy taste, leaving bitter aftertaste. Not bad, but nothing really special, either.
