16.9 oz bottle into lager glass. Nose is full of toasted marshmallows, milk chocolate, freshly baked bread, coffee. Pours a dark reddish brown with a medium dissipating bone white head and creamy lace. Taste is sweet and sour with little bitterness. Has a grainy taste--like a wet hay field. Taste doesn’t live up to the aroma. High carbonation, light to medium body. Decent.

Draught at Klub in Prague. Orange-amber color. Nice malty, caramel aroma, though not special. Sweet caramel flavor. Thin, industrial, uninteresting ass. Drinkable, but one of the worst beers around here. Bartender nodded knowlingly as I returned mz half-empty glass for something else.

bottle from Albert Nové Butovice. Clear deep golden colour, large white head. Typical "Czech aroma". Solid malty base, lots of good hops, bitter-sweet character. Light and pleasant. It’s good to see that even the big brewers can produce a decent beer, if they want to.

Tap, at Non Stop Bar Blanik, Prague on 10 July 2010. Gold with a white thinning head. A few well-scattered hops, generally weakish of flavour, and on the sweet side for a Czech lager. Corn/starch notes and a citric "Schweppes Bitter Lemon" lingering aftertaste. Lively gaseous fizzy texture. Drinkable but for me it was nothing special.

Corny malt and hay aroma. Clear golden, thick white billowy head, good lacing. Dry, malt flavor, a little cheap tasting. Vanilla and grass finish.

Nice earthy flavor and aroma with some light, crisp hops. Light bodied with a very dry finish. A pretty solid pils that’s quite refreshing on a warm evening.

Light-bodied lager is what you’d expect. Some ginger and resin. A little spruce in the nose. Not bad. Rated 6/13/09
