Golden with a short/medium lasting white head. Clean malt and hops aroma. Sweet malty flavour for a second, then a sharp hop bitterness. Not bad, not spectacular either.

Bottle: Deep golden coloured, medium-sized, quite firm white head; sweet-malty nose with a touch of vegetables and a distinctive floral hoppiness, a bit metallic; stronger bitter flavour, rather light bodied, quite soft mouthfeel; a bit longer bitter finish, vegetables detectable. Disappointing, the promised "extra bitterness" is not really obvious; should have a fuller body to be a real Bohemian Pilsener. This "germanized" Pilsener looks better than it tastes; let a german trust run a czech brewery and the beer will become dull........................

Bottle. Dark golden colour, almost no head. Flavour is a little sweet and seems slightly oxidized. Medium bitterness. 5 3 5 3 12
Bottle, 5.0%. Clear dark golden colour. Small white head. The flavour is nicely malty, but has a rough edge. A little disappointing for a strong Czech brand. 5 3 5 3 12

50cl bottle. Very dark brown, lasting dark beige head. Of the 3 cernys I had I would say that this is my favourite. Malt aroma is better balanced, there is a more sour charcoal malt finish. Less toffee dominated, bit like a mild. Attractive roast malt aroma. good choc/coffee finish. Bit powdery.3.2/5.0 Re-rate On tap at Plachetnice, Plzen. More choccy than I remembered, good fullness. Enjoyable.

Bottle. Creamy white good mostly deminishing head. Week aroma and flavor. Watery palate and a bit lively. Not the best bohemian pilsener.

Bottle. Creamy off-white mostly lasting head. Very dark amber colour. Week aroma and thin flavor. Very watery, but it is still an ok beer although I was a bit disapointed.

(bottle) Dark brown, almost black coloured with a foamy brown medium head. Quite shy sweet roasted malts aroma with traces of caramel, coffee and a faint hoppy touch. Initially sweet malty taste, light bodied, rather watery sweetbitter finish with a sourish touch and notes of chocolate and coffee. Not a very impressing Schwarzbier.
