Draught. Dark yellow colour. Acidic flavour with some bitterness. Acidic/sour aftertaste not to my liking.

An orange beer with a small head. The aroma is sweet malty with hints of caramel. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of caramel and the body is thin.

Bottle. Nice aroma of liquorice. Liq. also in flavour, with a hint of chocolate.

Nice aroma - only slightly bitter. A slightly sweet, fruity flavor. Reminiscent of a Weizen. Very different from most pilsners. Definitely an enjoyable beer.

Light blond color. Ordinary taste, but a delicate hoppy line shows up in the aroma and taste, even better in the (quite strong) final.

Golden color. Malt aroma. Too light taste, watery, just with a strong bitterness towards the end.

A bit sweet cracker-malt with some herbal overtones, not too impressive though. Orange golden, low carbonation, fluffy head. Somewhat disappointing body, corn and hay flavors, dry finish. Green bready aftertaste. I had assumed that this brew at least would be on par with an typical bavarian Pils, but this was disappointing.

Bottled (tried this one also draught in Prague)
Small to medium brown head. Dark red-brown, almost black colour. Weak aroma of coffee and ash. Watery with roasted malt palate. Finishing malty without much aftertaste. Very drinkable anyway, especially tapped version. (5/5/6/3/12 3.1)
Re-rated, bottled (BB 03/2005)
Dark brown, small tanned head. Sweet sugary coffee nose. Very chocolaty and sweet flavor. Short sweet, roasted aftertaste. (6/4/7/4/14 3.5)
Re-rated, bottled (BB 11/2005)
Dark nut brown, good tanned head, lace. Roasted, ashy and bready nose. Light to medium-bodied. Malty, slightly roasted with late bitterness. Well-balanced. (6/5/7/3/15 3.6)

A golden beer with an OK but disappearing head. The aroma is malty. The aroma is dominated by straw and malt with a good bitter end. An OK beer without being anything special.
