Bottle. It pours a clear, golden body and a dense, finger-thick white head. Some lacings left. The aroma is a bit weak. Pale malts, a touch of fruityness and some grassy notes. Maybe some canned pears as well. It’s dry and medium bodied, with a fine bitterness. Pale malts and some freshly mown grass. Pleasant bitterness in the end. A quite decent one, with good quenching qualities. 111127

(bottle) Hazy, pale golden colour with a big but collapsing foamy white head. Dusty and grainy malty aroma with doughy and slightly herbal notes. Slightly sweet and bitter flavour, light bodied with an almost flat carbonation. Slightly grainy malt-character with chalky/mineralic notes and a papery and slightly bitter hoppy finish with a tinge of metal. 13.VII.11

Bottle: Golden with a greenish sheen, medium sized lacy fluffy head; grainy-strawy nose with a light touch of vegetables; very light bodied, a bit fizzy, bitter-sweet flavour; bitter-papery finish. Better forget it.....

500ml Bottle (Thanks to Igor at work) - Pale gold with a white head. Malt, grass, lemon and grain in the aroma. Moderately hoppy and slightly herby taste with notes of malt, citrus and a hint of soapy hops lingering in the finish. Not bad and fairly refreshing, especially when served cold.

Bottled 500ml (Naamat, BB 10/2011)
My first one from this brewery.
Deep clear golden color, small white head. Grassy, grainy aroma. Light to medium bodied. Sweetish malty, grassy hoppyness. Quite typical German craft brewery helles - in a good and in a bad way.

33 cl CLEAR bottle, 89¢ @ Binny’s. Oh, sweet Jesus save me! I now truly know what a SKUNKED beer is! I mean, this is what you hope to achieve by using clear bottles? Glad I left a bottle of Yeti that I also got with this beer as a reminder that Heaven still exists. Now I’m pouring into a .2L pils glass. Skunk is finally driving away, and I can find a bit of nice grainy smell beneath. Certainly an okay golden pils color under a stiff white head. Finally a chance to taste. Meh. Grainy, but at least recognizably pilsener grains. Excess sweetness, and a little volatile alcohol on the tongue. It does make up a bit for that powerful skunk hiding the bottle neck, but not much of a much. Someone can tell me this is better on draft and in its homeland, and I may believe them.
