Description
Located in our historic barn, we are proud to be Rhode Island’s first farm brewery. A visit to Tilted Barn Brewery allows you to tour the brewery, walk through the fields to see, touch, and smell the ingredients that go into your beer, and relax in a century-old barn while enjoying the fruits of our labor. Our small batch, hand-crafted ales are best enjoyed fresh and in season so be sure to make the trek early and often for a true farm-to-pint experience.

Draught at the brewery, 7/16/16.
Light amber-golden bodied with a full cloudiness and opacity, though not quite as hazy as peeptoad. White head atop is medium-sized and shows moderate retention.
Juicy pineapple combines with strong grapefruit and light pine but nicely free from resin. Lots of juiciness here and yet another successful NE IPA from these guys. Slightly more succulent malts show a little more honey/caramel than the other beers on, but it’s equally helpful in balancing the stronger, more assertive hoppiness. Oranges, limes, nectarines linger with a good minerality/house yeast character and no alcohol or flaw.
Juicy and nicely bitter, with the best of both West Coast and NE worlds. Grapefruit, nectarine, orange and mango, with soft, moderately sweet honey and caramel and a malty, finely carbonated texture. Definitely more assertive and bitter than their other pales and ipas I’ve tried but still wonderfully well-done.

Draught at the brewery, 7/16/16.
Cloudy, heavily hazy, not-quite-soupy, golden-bronze body is topped by a well-retained, white head.
Fantastically expressive, clean, crisp, clear Galaxy in the nose shows off dank notes of spicy marajuana, mango, lime, pepper, pineapple and grapefruit. Juicy as all hell, with lightly sweet malts behind it adding cracker and honey. No alcohol, no resin, no flaw. Just beautifully and very knowledgeably-done finishing hops.
The flavor is a continuing treat of Galaxy hoppiness, with tons of the tell-tale capsaicin-like spiciness (not capsaicin-like in its flavor, but in the way it sort of sticks to your throat and teeth and lingers on very persistently and spicily). Orange, lemon, tangerine, pineapple, mango....it’s all here and full-on juicy. As seems to be the case with the beers, they’re all immaculately well-attenuated and still retain a very soft, supple malt texture. Bitterness comes through just enough to balance the juiciness and provide crispness on the finish. Really nice stuff. My friend said with every visit the beers improve, which seems to be the case based on the ratings from 8-9 months ago. Excited to get back to this brewery and hope they start doing full pours now that they are allowed to.

Draught at the brewery, 7/16/16.
The cloudiest of the 4 today (violet, peeptoad, early riser and this) with a strongly soupy appearance, pale golden and with light amber hues. White head atop is medium-sized and dense, showing strong retention.
Don’t think I’d heard of cashmere hops before this, so nice to try a new hop. Doesnt disappoint. Plentiful yellow fruit juiciness of nectarine, honeydew, watermelon, ruby red grapefruit and light mango-pineapple. Reminds of a certain Lights On....And this one’s even lower gravity than that. Good citric bitterness on the end, with light biscuity malts, fresh house yeast adding light minerality and no alcohol, resin or flaw.
In the mouth, it’s a bit muddled/muted and there seems to be a bit too much yeast or hop particulate leading to light ash and nutty bland notes. Some oiliness but still a very soft, malty texture overall with tight carbonation and high attenuation. Surprising how strong and clear the aroma is given the muted character of the flavor. Still enjoyable, however, with light citrics, a healthy dose of tropical fruits and biscuity-crackery malts. If the beer itself was conditioned a bit more, this would be right up there with Lights On, Sumner, Walden, etc....

Thoroughly hazy, though not cloudy/muddy. Pale, flaxen-gold with a large white head that is dense and well-retained.
Hugely floral nose almost seems like it has notes of lavender. Perfume, potpourri and such, but it stops short of smelling soapy in the least. Very dry lemon juice, unripened apricot, crackery malts and just a touch of juicy orange as it warms. But it’s free from any resin or pine (though there’s a little bit of spicy, spruce-like character). Continues to open up nicely as it warms and breathes, with softer, more juicier notes. No alcohol or flaw.
Malty, supple texture with tight carbonation and a strong attenuation. Cracker and biscuit malts provide a good base for the hops while remaining on the sidelines, as orange, lemon, white grapefruit and persimmon abound. Light lavender and gooseberry notes as well. Despite how dry it is, it never comes across unbalanced or overly bitter/astringent. The texture is just wonderful showing obvious skill at brewing. To say I was very excited to try the remaining three beers after having this would be quite an understatement. Awesome and unique take on a style that is difficult to find innovation in.

Growler thanks to Sander. It pours cloudy with a small white head. The nose is fresh, juicy, peachy, sweet orange, mild creaminess and some minerals. The taste is soft, crisp bitterness, orange peel, nectarine, peach, apricot, minerals, light grass and some alcohol warmth. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Well - rounded and rather enjoyable.

Growler shared in NH. Thanks to Sander. Lovely aroma, lots of nectarine, tangerine, peach. Medium sweet flavor, some pale bread, tangerine, orange, slight rindy bitterness. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Clean finish, light resin, pectin, peach, lots of tangerine, some pith. Good beer.
