Brewery De Ryck is family brewery with a rich history and tradition.

The brewery was founded in 1886 by Gustave De Ryck as ‘Brewery the Golden Eagle’ in the eastern part of Flanders in front of the church in Herzele . Herzele is not only our home base, it's the source of the typical and unique flavor you discover in our beers. We value our origine, our environment and our local market.

We strive for top quality in creating and brewing our beers out of respect for our heritage and connected to today's beer market. Everyday we make tradition and innovation meet.

Bottle at ZBF08. Good bready aroma. Cloudy yellow colour. Small white head. Good spiciness, some alcohol. Creamy and smooth flavour. Very nice.

Draught at ZBF08. Cloudy orange colour. Small tight, creamy white head. Bready flavour, mild and creamy. Slightly watery. OK hint of alcohol in aftertaste.

Bottle: Poured a murky orange brown with a lacing white color head. Aroma is citrus fruit lots of orange peel and coriander. Taste is spice fruit with orange peel, there nice caramel malt.

Bottled. BB Oct 2006. Cloudy brownish color, short head. Aroma is a bit dusty, some oak wood, caramel malt, cookie. Caramel malty taste, clearly aged, slight bitter. Decent stuff.

ZBF2008: From tap. Pours hazy brown and with a lacing light orange head. Spiced aroma, mild caramel malt. Flavour is dry herbal, light malty with a vague caramel malt note. Ordinary. Solid bitterness into the finish.

From tap. Pours cloudy orange with a small white head. Herbal hoppy. Dry, toasted and slight fruity finish. Mild dry and herbal far finish.6-3-6-3-13

ZBF2008: From bottle. Pours hazy brown and with a lacing light orange head. Distinct herbal aroma. Flavour is light sourish, only vague note of cherries. Light roasted malt flavour. Sweet canesugarish note too. Strange chemical note in addition. Not bad though, just not fantastic.
