33 cL bottle. Pours hazy reddish with a fully diminished white head. Light hoppy and fruity aroma. Mildly spiced and caramel malt flavour, light yeasty spiced. Ends with a nice fruity note, solid bitterness and a light spice/yeasty mellow note. Nice.

33cl Bottle, thanks Mungo- Brown in colour, the aroma is malty with spiciness and hops also coming to the fore. A hint of caramel, malt and pleasant hoppiness in the taste. Very drinkable but not particularly Christmassy!

Bottle @ Quinns. Pours a hazy orange color with a longlasting slightly off-white head. Yeasty spicy malty aroma. Sweet malty yeasty flavor with some spicy hints also some grainy hints. Warming malty spicy finish.

From party keg, Kerstbierfestival 2007 in Essen/Belgium. Pours golden brown/orange with a diminished light orange head. Mild spiced aroma and with a note of caramel malt. Flavour is spiced and with a mild bitterness lingering through. Not much sweetness in this one. Nice though.6-3-6-3-13=3.1
75 cL bottle, Kerstbierfestival 2007 in Essen/Belgium as Arend Winter. Pours golden brown/maghoni wiht a lacing off-white head. Slight spiced aroma. Flavour starts slight acidic/citric but soon goes into a more malt heavy flavour wiht a bit of spices beneath. Finish reveals more roasted malt notes. 6-4-7-4-14=3.5

Bottle: Poured a deep brown color ale with a large off-white foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of sweet Belgian malt with some notes of light spices. Taste is also dominated by some creamy Belgian malt with some candi sugar and some dry fruits components. Good full body with some limited filtration and some good carbonation. I really appreciated the toffee and caramel notes that were easily discernable.

Bottle- I am a big fan of bananas and have liked most of the banana beers which I’ve tried so I was looking forward to trying this. It had a beautiful aroma of (artificial?) bananas and seemed to smell very sweet. I wasn’t wrong. Hardly any beer could be detected and it seemed sweeter than many soft drinks! Not a good example of a fruit beer and not a good example from this brewery who are usually excellent.
