Bottle. Hazy pale yellow body with a thin white head. Aroma is just like banana flavored chewing gum. Flavor is the same, artificial sweet banana. It’s just terrible!

Bottle. Hazy dark orange body with a beige head. Aroma is sweet malt. Flavor is caramel and sweet malt. Medium body, OK taste but nothing special. Moderate in any anything and quite anonymous compared with other Belgium ales.

330ml bottle. Clear amber body with a thick light beige head. Aroma is sweet malt. Flavor is caramel, rather sweet and one-dimensional. Not to bad, but noting great.

Draught: Poured a brown clear amber with a white head. The aroma was a rich taffy malt. The taste was a sweet malt.

Bottle. Hazy medium amber/ orange color with a large good lacing ligth brown head. Aroma is heavy yeasty, fruit, bubble gum, moderate malty, caramel. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet nad bitter with a long duration. Nice and refreshing. Body is light to medium, carbonation is soft.

Draught Orange-golden, metallic beer, with a very small off-white rim for head. Greenery nose, chervil or parsley, and very faint peppery. Extremely young, traces of diacetyl, DMS or another S(ulphur)compound, greenmalt, slightly CO² overpressurized with a bit of acidity in the taste, joining with the esters to Traubenzucker-like flavour. Warming up, warm malts coming up. Medium bodied, certain slickness. A bit sweet, not to mention young, is it? New rating under the name Bladelin Blond Dense, huge head, yellow-white, fed by fine pearling; (cold)hazy orangey beer. (4/5) Spicy maltnose, quite light impression from alcohol, and very clearly caramel. Peppery aroma (grains of paradise-like). (7/10) Rather sweet initially, with a slight retronasal bitterness that is rather spicy than hoppy. Very slight impression of ureum. Beer becomes drier in the palate, if every new sip gives renewed sweetness - candy sugar? Again a slight alcoholimpression. (6/10) Very clearly quite carbonated, medium density at best, very slick. (3/5) Overall it is definitely better than the too young version I drank initally. (14/20)

Draught Yellow-amberish head, fast gone; over foxy-chestnut beer. Caramel, even toffee nose, sweet and coloured malts; parsley, bready - especially cakerind - even some fruity esters. Woody, wry-malty taste, hints of tannins, juniper. Light to medium bodied, and even when its MF is slightly water, it is not empty. Ah, not bad - better than the blonde anyway IMO.

A hazy deep red beer with a thin head that is a mixture of pinkish and beige. The aroma is sweet with notes of cherries and stale fruits. The flavor is sweet with notes of over ripe cherries, like eating them late in the season, when they are close to go bad, but also with slight woody notes. The end is dry and here the woody notes grow stronger. The carbonation tickles the tongue.

Cyclamen-pink head, receding over bright cardinal-red beer. Faint fruity nose, mainly cherry, faintly citric acid and - colour paint? Not overwhelming, which is positive. One short moment of sourish-tinted fruitjuice, then a bubbling stream of fruitsyrup, concocted by the very Snowwhite’s witch, tumbles in: heat-melted and crushed cherry "bonbons", caramelised, syruped and sugared to put Turkish delight (lokoum) to shame. Faint smokiness retronasal. Syrupy impression, in fact, the sheer sweetness makes it resemble way more viscous than it probably is. Ann, I’m sorry but I tell it as I find it. I compared the de Banane to toxic waste. This must be the biological weapon. I’m expecting Lord Voldemort W. Bush’s legions to invade Belgium any moment now (to get the beer cheap).
