Bottle. Grainy malt and pink grapefruit hops aroma. Clear golden yellow with a moderate off-white head. Sweet grainy malt and grapefruit peel, pine, and herbal hops flavor. Medium body and carbonation. A little rough.

Sample at the DBLDP on 09/02/2012: The beer is a clear golden-yellow color with a medium thin white head that evaporates quickly. Spotty lacing. Aroma of grainy malt and hops. Medium body with flavors of cereal malt, corn and mild hops. The finish is short with a dank hops aftertaste. Just average overall.

Sample at the DBLDP on 09/02/2012: The beer is a hazy dark amber color with a medium thin off-white head that recedes quickly to an outer ring. Spotty lacing on the glass. Aroma of overripe fruit and hops. Light to medium body with a fruity hops flavor with some sweet malt behind it. The finish is short with mildly bitter hops aftertaste. Slightly above average overall.

Sample at the DBLDP on 09/02/2012: Dark reddish-brownish pour with a medium foamy light tan head that diminishes steadily. Short strings of lacing on the glass. The aroma consists of roasted nuts, malt and a touch of hops. Light to medium body with a roasty and briny character with notes of dank malt and herbal hops. The finish is short and malty.

Sample at the DBLDP on 09/02/2012: The beer pours amber-brown with a medium off-white head that dissipates steadily. Short strings of lacing. Aroma of malt, honey and a touch of hops. Light to medium body with flavors of caramel malt, molasses and a bit of off fruit. The finish is short with a sweet malt aftertaste. Fairly average overall.

Refrigerated bottle poured into a shaker. Pours clear dark amber with small white head. Some lacing, light body, low carbonation, syrupy texture, and off aroma. Taste is light roasted malt and honey. Pretty good, good amount of honey, but lighter than most brown ales.

on tap @GABF-pours dark brown with a tan head. Aroma is roasty dark malt. Taste is roasty dark malt-some chocolate, 2nd earthy hops.

on tap @GABF-pours gold with a disappearing offwhite head. Aroma is light malt. Taste is light malt, hint of grassy hops. Less hops than the Pale Ale.
