A hazed dark amber ale with a thick resilient light moka head. A rather funky aroma of herbs, catnip, Brett, wild and pungeant. In mouth, a rather interesting wild malt, incense, cardamom, very perfumey. A gueuze without the lactic acid. Light and quaffable. Bottle shared with Probstk, bought at Federal Wine and Liquor, tasted July 29 2009.

Deep golden color. Light fruity nose. Refreshing. Not much depth. Fairly par for the American wheat course.

Bottle. Pours with a large, fluffy white head over a hazy golden orange body.Lace everywhere. Aroma of well...very little. I get a bit of hops and some fruit and plastic (lightly phenolic). Taste is a mild but clean pale ale with hops and some fruit, dried peaches, and an interesting rice/tang like finish. Malt bill tastes different than a lot of American made APAs. Kind of a watery flavor. Medium carbonation. Light lingering bitterness. Refreshing.

Bottled at PBF. Mahogany colour, small head. Perfumy lychee aroma. Medium sweet and medium bodied with well rounded mouthfeel. Lightly earthy and lightly roasty with salty tobacco finish. Pleasant, well balanced beer.

Bottled (PBF). Dark nut brown color, small beige head. Nutty, caramelly aroma. Grassy hoppy, dry but kind of caramelly flavor, some dark bready, hops, alcohol. Nice bitter aftertaste. Interesting JA beer.

Bottle shared by Marcus. Hazy amber color with a temporary beige head. The primary aroma reminds of Dutch tobacco. Near medium body with mild carbonation. Flavors waft away. Light malt. Something like kola. Extremely pleasant. Relatively light. A lot of presence. Sort of unsweet brown sugar. Unique describes it.

Draught at the 2009 Central Japan Craft Beer Party. Nice tan head, thick and fine, with deep amber color. Aroma of caramel, spice, roasted malts. Bitter flavor from spices, chocolate, a bit burnt, tasting much like Chinese medicine. Interesting but I donβt much like it.

Draught at the 2009 Central Japan Craft Beer Party. Medium copper color. Sweetish, caramel aroma with some fruits: cherry and apple. Good bitter hop flavor, light malt, minderal, slightly watery. Lots of citrus. More like a West Coast PA. Ok but a bit disappointing, especially in the malt department. Amber is not there.
