Handpull cask at the Pig in Muck, Claybrooke Magna. Mid reddish-brownand very translucent with a vreamy off-white head. Chocolate aroma with light spice and a touch of oak. Sweet taste, very malt-led with a plummy character closer to the finish. Very light body with soft carbonation. A very tasty mild.

Keg tap at the Pig in Muck, Claybrooke Magna. Dark brown, slightly translucent with a creamy beige head. Light aroma of dark malts, some chocolate, deep earthy notes. Bittersweet taste, a bit of an odd herbal note which hangs on through the finish. I like their beer but not convinced by this one.

Handpull cask from the Pig in Muck, Claybrooke Magna, as Pig Pub Best Bitter. Reddish copper with a thin tight off-white head. Light resinous malts in the aroma. Some earthy character and stone fruits. Taste is well-balanced if lacking in character promised by the aroma. Ending on a pleasant bitter finish with light spice on the aftertaste. A very well-crafted bitter.

Gravity cask at the 2020 Leicester Beer Festival. Golden and clear, with only a small ring of head and the lightest suggestion of natural carbonation. The beer has a slight sweaty scent with light notes of apricot. Bittersweet taste with a fruity Mosaic note toward the end of the sip. Slightly more bitter in the finish, with soft carbonation. It's a decent little beer but could do with a bit more hop character, still as it is it's a decent easy drinking gold.
