Tap Meridian Pint for CBC. Poured a dark brown, with ruby notes, very small mocha head that quickly dissipated. Aroma was vanilla notes, dark fruits, come bitter chocolates, some light notes of wood and some very basic black cherry character here. Flavor was dark fruits, bitter chocolate, roasted malts. Probably could have let this sit a little longer to impart a few more flavors.

Draft at the source. Dark brownish matoon color. Aroma is like those little cocolate confections with raspberry jelly like substance in the middle, both the raspberries and the cacao come through. Taste is sweet milk chocolate and berries. Straightforward. Not bad.

Cask filled into my growler and consumed the day after the fill at the brewery. Poured a slightly hazy, straw color with a small white head that only formed on the vigorous glass pours I did. Aroma was lemon peel and a touch of farmhouse and spice, though more subdued than the regular non-cask counterpart. Flavor had some bitter lemon notes, citrus juice notes. Enjoyable. I wonder if they tapped the Columbus hop variety later that day?

Pizzeria Paradiso, Georgetown tap ($6): Pours a murky brownish color with a small head. Aroma is a whole bunch of different fruit flavors. Taste is pretty much dates, plums, and whatever other similar such fruits beer vaguely tastes like, along with plenty of malt. There is very little hop character, as this beer is a mostly a malt monster. Easy to drink and alcohol is well-covered although there is a hint of booze in the aroma.

Sample from the brewery. Poured a really cloudy golden straw color with a huge fluffy white head. Aroma was some wheat, and some peppery barnyard. Flavor was some nice citrus characters, with a peppery finish. Real tasty and refreshing - probably will be even better on a nice warm day.

Sample from the brewery. Poured a clear, dark brown color with a nice slightly off-white head to it. Aroma was sweet malts, nutty character and a touch of chocolate. Flavor was a nice rich caramel flavor with a decent amount of nuttiness and vanilla in it. Touches of chocolate and coffee around the edges finish this one off. Very refreshing and the alcohol is pretty well masked, though there’s a bit of warming on the finish which was fun.
