Description
The Artisanal Brewery of Sabaudia, nicknamed Brasserie BAS, was founded in 2005 by a passionate brewer. On the occasion of his birthday, Tony De Oliveira receives a 20 liter brewing kit as a gift. The story begins like this, from a brewing kit to a craft brewery that now produces 3000 liters per brew. Very attached to the land of Savoy and its traditions, he decided to name the brewery by the old term Sabaudia designating the land of fir trees, Savoy during the Middle Ages. BAS beers are designed respecting traditional manufacturing processes: From crushing to bottling. In the heart of Savoy, between lake and mountain, the BAS brewery is housed in a building steeped in history, a former lignite factory.

Bottle 33 cl. Pours an opaque black with a solid and creamy beige head. Subtle roasty nose. Light body, mild roastiness with a hint of vanilla. Carbonation to the high side. Absolutely no finishing bitterness. Way too fizzy, and personally I think Porters need a little more body. 080224

Clear golden colour, moderate sized creamy white head; aroma of grainy, bready slight floral and herbal notes; taste is quite hoppy-bittery with similar notes as can be felt in the aroma otherwise and some metallic notes; not bad
