Small offwhite head. Clear brown body. Roasty sugary caramelly aroma with rye crisp bread notes. Sweet-dryish caramelly earthy rye crisp bread taste. Mid-bodied. Mild, soft mouthfeel. Dryish earthy caramelly roasted sugar aftertaste with syrupy rye crisp bread notes. Very nice and drinkable. Excellent. (0.33l bottle, from Bambalyne, Vilnius.)

Pale Yellow, Medium Head, Almost No Lacing. No Aroma. Sweet Malt, Sugar, Caramel, Slight Alcohol Shining. I’d say pretty well hidden high ABV until it warms up. Once it warms up, alcohol appearance increases. Medium Body, on a lighter side. Rather easy drinker, that seems to be lower ABV Quite decent for what it is. Brewed by Gubernija for it’s distributor B&I Overseas Trading Inc. B&I is either threatened by its competitor Stawski Distribution or thinks, that it is trendy to slap its name on any beer bottle. While it is not the worst choice it is not the best beer choice either. Funny, that they fail to mention brewery that made this beer for them. While it is nothing spectacular, it is miles ahead of my recent horrific experience of supposedly Belgian Larine Grand 95. I’d say pass it....

Medium offwhite head. Clear coppery yellow body. Fruity oily papery aroma with sugary notes. Sweetish earthy papery sugary taste with fruity, herbal notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, soft mouthfeel. Dryish salty resiny strawy aftertaste with fruity herbal notes. Nice, drinkable, not great. (0.33l bottle, from Bamb Alyne, Vilnius. Called "Gubernija art drink series Ekstra. I’m pretty sure it’s the same beer.)

Mild, soft, smooth mouthfeel. Sweet toffee and caramel aftertaste with carraway and rye bread notes. Also notes of linoleum and old books. Nice, and a bit weird. Can at Chriso’s Pre-GBBF Shindig 2013. It pours dark mahogany brown with a quickly dissipating beige head. The nose is caramel, brown bread, cardboard and coffee. The taste is very sweet, sugary, caramel, dark fruit, coffee and cola with a sweet finish. Lightish body and moderate carbonation. Damn sweet and sticky. Pretty nasty.

500ml Can: BBD of 7 Feb 2014. Poured into a Duvel glass (twice) on 15 Mar 2013. I found this in an ethnic shop on Walthamstow High Street. The beer looked a typical clean and clear lager/pilsner: bright and golden, with a better than normal head of snowy white bubbles on each pour. I thought of sweet soap (Imperial leather) when I first tasted and sniffed this: luckily that thought left me, but it did take a while. Grainy and sweet nosed brew: slightly more maltiness than hop bitterness and medium bodied for the style. The beer has a metallic twang towards the end and I have a feeling a couple of cans could lead to a mega hangover for the unready. I’ve made this sound worse than it was: Mr Average but with a little attitude is fairer.
