Description
The Aldaris Brewery in Riga, which was founded in 1865, is the leading and most developed brewery in Latvia.

Aldaris was the first company in Latvia to gain ISO 9001 certification and it won the first Latvian Quality prize in 1997. Aldaris produces more than 17 different light and dark lager beers based on traditional recipes. This includes the beer that carries the company's name – Aldaris – which is the oldest and one of the most popular beer brands in Latvia.

In the latest years, Aldaris takes part in the industry’s most important competitions whose awards are highly prized across the globe. The most prestigious of these are the Australian International Beer Awards, World Beer Cup and the European Beer Star Award.

Smell- strong, cofee, roast, espresso, moka, caramel, malt. Very nice.
Foam- thin, weak coffee, weak malt, espresso. Head is medium to large, medium dark brown in color. Sticks.
Appearance- brewer cap, simple cap, very dark brown in color, seems cloudy.
From - pint
Taste - weak malt, weak cofee, faint roast, some sweetness, faint cocoa. Overall feels nice, but is very watered down. With more punch, this would be very nice... this is not 5.5 style, should go to like 7 at least.

Thanks omhper! Amber colour, small off-white head. Aroma is herbal, some grainy and mild herbal and rye tones to it. Flavour is herbal, grains, mild rye and earthy tones to it. Bulky.

Bottled, from Ventspils. Clear copper colour, mid sized head. Tart rye bread aroma. Mid sweet with light to medium body and clean mouthfeel. Tart dark bread, plums and brown sugar. Fairly sharp finish with low bitterness.
