On tap at Lauvas Alus, Riga Pours a hazy golden yellow with no head. Aroma of apples and ripe fruit. The mouth is nicely balanced with green hops and oranges leading to a hoppy finish. Drinkable but unexciting.

On tap at Kafejnica Leningrad (Leningrad cafe), Riga. Hazy organs without any head to speak of. Mild wheaty and citrus Aroma with hints of herbs and green bananas. Moderate to medium sweet with low carbonation and some acidic notes. Fair enough.

Õlle on selline jook, et iga uus kord kui klaasi või pudeli suule tõstad, siis leiad midagi uut, sõltuvalt tuhandest-miljonist pisiasjast, mis hetke olukorda mõjutavad. Seega piirdun iga õlle juures selle tekstiga.

On tap at Brevinga, Riga A slight spicyness is all I can get in the nose. Pours a hazy cloudy yellow. A sharp fruitiness in the mouth, apple juice and pear drops. Finish remains apply. Supposedly a witbier, but the wheatiness doesn’t really show at all. A bit of a nothing beer. Name means “skylark” by the way.

50cl bottle from Valmiermuiža Alus Tirgotava, Riga. Pours almost completely clear deep golden with a modest, white head. Fruity and malty with notes of caramel and light citrus. Fairly balanced and quite enjoyable.

Smell-weak, fruits, some juice ? Foam- thin, soft, sour, fruity. Medium foam, white color. Appearance- hazy, orange, quite carbonated. Taste- fruity notes, followed, by immediate sourness, medium strong, feels bit off. Not my style.

On tap at Gauja bar in Riga. Review dates from 2017, but beer still available though I didn’t rerate. Nose is reminiscent of industrial cleaner. Pours a greeny hazy yellow with no head. Initial taste is sharp with little carbonation. Gives way to various fruitiness – orange peel, apple and limes. Finish is just fizziness. Nothing special.

Tap at Taka, Riga. Pours hazy yellow-golden. Aroma and flavor are very hoppy, raw hops, citrus, lactose, pineapple. Overall: very good!
