Description
Originally from Sainte-Croix en Plain, the Alsatian Sainte Crucienne brewery first saw the light of day in 2007 during a boozy evening, thanks to a band of idealistic friends eager to create different and very hoppy beers. At the start of their adventure, they started by brewing 20 liters of beers, then 100, then 600. It was not until 2013 that the brewery officially started in its premises in Colmar, in just three years the volume of production has doubled to reach 3000 hl today.

They share this success with a whole community of independent brewers who are part of the Front Hexagonal de Libièration, with whom they continue to work. The goal is to multiply collaborations and unique brews to create an ever more original beer in taste and participate in the revolution of the world of craft beers.

Another good French IPA. Cloudy orange color with a creamy off-white head with good retention. Aroma has notes of resins hops and orange peel with hints of peach. Flavor has a decent bitterness with good duration, resins and pine on palate with fruity notes, mainly bittery orange and grapefruit. Good bitterness in the final with medium duration.

bottle from Bièrerie. Golden colour, with a mid-sized white head. Grassy hop aroma and some citrus fruit. Good malty base, aromatic hops that add a fresh, grassy, resiny touch and perhaps a touch of mint? Lingering hoppy finish that also has some citrus fruit.

Many thanks for this beer to kevnic2008. Piwo amber Ale przypominalo mi podwijne IPA, chmiel tanczyl w nozdrzach, zapach zgnilych grejfrutow. W smaku wyrazna kwaskowos cytrusowa zmieszana z czerstwym chlebem oblanym miodem lub syropem klonowym. Ciekawe doznania, tresciwe, moc alkoholu nieco uderzala do glowy. Kolor piwa to ciemny bursztyn, ze spora iloscia blota drozdzowego, piana niewielka i srednio trwala.

Bottle. Slightly hazy Amber with big, long lasting off white head. Massive fruity hops, like a tropical fruit cocktail with lychee, grapes, passion fruit, pineapple. Some sweet grains, nuts and cake. Over-medium sweet with light bitter finish. Medium bodied with creamy and slight sticky feel. Really good IPA, super hoppy without being very bitter. Looooove this. I can’t believe the low scores on this, if it was an American beer people would go nuts over it. But maybe it’s an improved recipe or I had a really fresh one...
