Rating for draught
Clear pale golden colour, white head. Aroma of malts, grass, apple and hops. Quite bitter, fresh flavour, light malt, quite big on the hops for a lager. Decent body (again, for a lager) and medium lasting bitter finish.
Very decent lager, but quite unappreciated here. On bottles both the bottling date as the BB date is printed, which I’m always a fan of. As far as I could work out, the BB date is only 4 months from the bottling date, so I guess the brewers’ message is: drink fresh!

Brown 33cl bottle poured into a Veltins Pilsner stemmed glass. This was the first beer of my Luxembourg brewed tasting evening during October 2008.. Lovely clean, clear, golden yellow body, with a smart white head. As often, the head soon fell away to leave a wisp and collar. Usual lager non-aroma (I always give a score of 3 unless I can smell something). Dry and crisp, getting sweeter as it warmed a little. It has a soft feel to it, but came over a bit boring. Bog standard lager with no stand out features, run of the mill stuff.

Bottled. A brown beer with a tan head. The aroma has notes of roasted malt and roasted bread. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, caramel, and bread, leading to a dry and lightly bitter finish. The body is light.

Dec 2009: 33cl Brown bottle, poured into a Gordon’s Thistle shaped glass. Brewed 23 Sept 09, best before 23 Jan 10. Ruby red body, clear. Off-white head, thin but a full covering throughout the tasting. Caramel and malts in the nose, but no huge aroma. Thin malt taste, a bit disappointing to be honest, no depth or fullness of body. Too watery for a decent Christmas beer and no spice or warmth to be found within it. Glad it was a small bottle, started looking for something to eat half way through the review because I found the beer boring and bland.

500ml Tin; taken on my mates balcony in Luxembourg (Remisch) overlooking the Mosel river and Germany on the far bank. The white head stayed throughout the tasting, the amber body being bright and clear, sadly everything went downhill once I stopped looking at it and started to sniff/sip it. The beer is almost completely odourless and tasteless: as it warmed some weak/thin hints of hops and malts might have entered my nose, but I think I imagined it. There was no taste: semi-sweet liquid with no measurable amount of malt or hop content at all, even the alcohol appeared to have left the scene as well. This beer filled a gap between lunch and our evening meal, water would have done a better job: below average in all aspects (apart from looks), and I’m being kind.
