ESB apparently. Something pleasantly weird. Touch of sorachi? Creamy weirdness. Aroma more as you'd expect. Malty. Taste has malt but that weird sorachi thing boosts the excitement.

DHC Gotemba Kogen Belgian White 5% Nice aroma of candied orange peel and coriander witbier spice. Medium bodied with a chewy wheat mouthfeel. The taste is pretty spot on but does have a somewhat butterscotch richness at times that is a bit off putting. Overall it is ok.

Bottle from that Italian style market in the basement near CBM Lucua. An orange amber with almost no foam and what there was vanished fast. Semi-sweet graham biscuit grains in the aroma. Medium bodied and a bit on the heavy carbonic side. In the initial aroma/taste I got a bit of skunkiness. The taste is mostly caramel biscuits with a bit of a dry herbal hop character, the aftertaste has a green hoppiness as well. It's ok.

Bottle from my local AEON Liquors. Pours nice clear golden with white foam - that does not stand very long. Light noble hops velvety herbal bitterness is covering overall quite malty and biscuity - but crisp and refreshing - body. Taste is malty, crisp and biscuity again, light sweetness and light bitterness. Simple and drinkable, clean flavoured pilsner.

Bottle from my local AEON Liquors. Pours dark brown, some beige foam at first but that does not last very long. Aroma dry and roasted, burnt rye bread with some light tart notes. Hint of bitter chocolate and morning coffee. Taste that follows has also lots of roast, quite light mouthfeel but still well balanced, not too bitter, not sweet at all. Some blackberries coming out later, leading to mouth coating roasty-bitter finish. Quite enjoyable although maybe not my favourite style.

Bottle from Seijo Ishii. Rich malt nose, some stale hops. Ok bready malt flavor, nice peppery bitterness but overall quite bland.

Light amber color. Nose shows minimal hops and the mouth is less interesting, with only a faint hint of malt. Hard to distinguish flavors so much because not much there beyond water. Super boring mainstream accented beer.

Bottle at GJBF Osaka 2016. A bit of lemon in the nose, something strange too, sweet, honey flavor, biscuits, lemony hops. Ok bitterness.
