Hazy amber color with creamy persistent head (2 difference with a real Altbier). Mild aroma with evident but timid fruity esters (1), and light impression of stale/pond water (minor flaw). Dry and rather smooth mouthfeel, a bit weak; some caramel flavor, but too light, and usually there should be a hint of a darker malt too (1); correct bitterness, with no hop character, but a light papery impression in the end.
Clean beer, difficult to identify as Alt, and apart from that it’s a very plain Amber Ale.

Cloudy blond color with compact head. Mild yeasty and spicy aroma. Dry mouthfeel; light bread flavor, light stale bread impression too, plastic touch, timid yeast spiciness, ordinary bitterness. Can’t identify it as Farmhouse, just a dry Wheat.
Mostly boring.

Dark brown color, almost black, with creamy head. Mild aroma of roasted malts. smooth and dry mouthfeel, mild roasted malt flavor, light minty touch, correct bitterness, dry final, also a bit weak; no walnuts, almost no chocolate malt.
Decent beer, but not responding to expectations, and can’t really see the direction here.

Amber color, clean, with compact head. The aroma is too light, some caramel. The mouthfeel is very dry, quite weak; caramel flavor with a touch of cereals; common bitterness, with light ending bready touch.

Amber color, hazy, with creamy head. The aroma is too light. Dry mouthfeel, but less dry than the otherwise similar Vienna Lager; pleasant caramel flavor with a bready touch; correct bitterness ending with soft fruity esters.
Balanced and clean, easy but pleasant.

Cask at Alibi Room, Vancouver
Cloudy dark amber color with compact head. Aroma of wood and mold (in a good way), some dusty malts. Smooth and round mouthfeel; good caramel flavor, moderate sweetness, and some banana; low bitterness; the final is a bit dusty. there is some yeast spiciness, not very pronounced, although quite evident in the final.
It’s a peculiar version of Dunkelweizen.

750mL bottle, pours a deep dark brown / near-black with a small beige head. Aroma brings out sour cherries, followed by cocoa, Belgian yeast, and bourbon. Flavour is pretty decadent, but also thinner on the mouthfeel than anticipated, with notes of tart cherries upfront, followed by dry cocoa, Belgian yeast and rounding off with bourbon barrels. Thinner on the mouthfeel than expected for a barrel aged Belgian strong. Good stuff.

750 ml bottle. Pours a deep copper with medium head. Aromas of toasted malts and jammy, fruity marmalade. Pleasant and malty with light flavors of fruit/oranges, toast, and grassy resin.

750 ml bottle. Pours a clear dark brown with light head of big bubbles. Aromas of dust/chalk, stale bourbon, and raisins. Flavors of brown sugar, roasted malts, bourbon, and a bit of dark fruit. Dry, full, a bit sweet and hot. Interesting.

Bottle. Dark brown beer with a tan head. Bourbon and chocolate aroma with light fruitiness. Bourbon and chocolate flavor with banana, spice, fruitiness, and caramel. Medium-plus bodied. Bourbon and chocolate lingers with cherry, yeast, and light spice. Gets a little too much cola influence.
