Super hazy deep honey coloured body with a bright orange glow and a thick, two centimetre tall white head. Aroma of sour grapes, yeast, brett, oak and a very nice sweetness. Medium-bodied; Assertive effervescence with a lot of grape and sour notes, tons of oak and brett flavours with a lingering lemony and sweet hint at the end. Aftertaste shows a lot of character with a little malt and wheat, some light grassy and herbalness and a very pleasant sourness which lasts long after a final sip. Overall, a very nice beer and one to sample if you can find it - a great offering, and very happy to be one of the first to try it! I sampled this 75 cL bottle purchased from Whole Foods (Pearl) in downtown Portland, Oregon on 11-April-2013 for US$9.49 sampled at home in Washington on 19-April-2013 - and will pick up another bottle of this in a few days when heading back West.

750mL bottle, pours a hazy bronze with a medium white head. Aroma bring out some tart dark fruits, some barnyard notes, and some vinegar. Flavour brings out tart farmhouse notes, tart lighter fruits, some medium funk, and medium acidity. Quite complex, finishing on medium funky and acidic notes. Light-bodied and highly drinkable. Great stuff.

Bottle that was sitting in GT2’s fridge for years and years. Murky brown color, fluffy tan head, nice lacing. Aroma of medicinal bon bons. Taste is odd spoiled brownies.

Bottle at Beer Revolution. Pours black with a decent beige head that fades quickly. In strong light, I can see some brown, but it’s a surprisingly dark beer and the color doesn’t really show up in the flavor. Very floral aroma. The lavender is nice. Some unfortunate cola. No roast. Taste is oddly sweet and just doesn’t work well. Lots more cola. Less flowers. Just a muddle of odd notes that don’t play nicely. Carbonation is normal, perhaps a little low for a saison. I’m not a fan of this beer. The flower and sweet cola flavors don’t work together. It’s kind of a mess.

Rather dark for what I expected. Spicy and piny? aroma. Well bodied and flavoured. A good late winter early spring beer and a worthy addition.

Bomber shared by Marcus. Pours dark brown with a creamy/foamy tan head. Aroma is very floral with hints of herb and dark malt. Med body. Flavor is hibiscus and lightly earthy dark malt. Quite interesting, tho maybe excessive hibiscus.

Aroma is dominated by floral notes with lots of chamomile, lavender an a but less hibiscus. A bit one dimensional as the floral character dominates. Pours a dark brown, almost black color with a thin dark tan head that quickly recedes. Flavor is very sweet with an odd dark vinous astringent character. Not quite roasty or chocolatey, but more of a cola type flavor. A nice bitterness in the finish but definitely astringent. The floral note dominates in the flavor as well. Mouthfeel is medium light bodied with medium high carbonation. Astringency is moderately high and definitely off putting. Low alcohol warmth. Overall the aroma has a nice floral character but it is too dominating. The flavor is not good at all though and this beer is very astringent. A waste of $16. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Dark brown pour with off white head. Much lacing. Light notes of walnut in the aroma. Very creamy body, no trace of walnut in the flavour. Flavour is mostly malt with some sweetness. Sweet finish.
