500ml bottle from the Beer Festival in St. Albans, Sept.05. Bottle contitioned (bb.02.04.2006). Clear deep brown colour with a huge dense eggshell head, mostly lasting. Weak sweet malty aroma. Burnt dark malts and fruity flavour with yeasty undertones. Dry finish with a slight touch of harsh bitterness. Rather good! Enjoyed at home while reading the April edition of CAMRA’s What’s Brewing and Beer (08.04.2004).

Hazy orange amber, off-white fluffy head. Fruity and flowery aroma, english hops, quite pleasant. The flavor is a bit of a letdown - Light fruity and metallic yeasty notes on top of a very light strawmalt body. The dead yeast is grating the senses - and the bottle has bbeen standing upright for several days so I dont think it would settle down more than it has.

(Bottle 50 cl) Hazy, amber golden with a gigantic head - shaving foam style. Very soft mouthfeel - rather soft carbonation. Malty nose with some fruity notes - banana? Very malty flavours with a lightly sweet, underlying note. Dry finish. Has some rustic, artisanal touches - a bit like Belgian Fantome! 011205

Cask@Birimingham Beer Festival. Amber/brown beer with a light, dry and sweet aroma and watery pale ale flavour. Overall a nice beer.

Cask at GBBF 2005 Another of the very good milds at the festival. Dark brown in colour with some nice caramel malt flavours, nice hop finish. I will certainly have this again if I see it. 737313 3.3/5.0 Re-rate The Guildhall, Folkestone cask conditioned handpull. A hazy amber beer with a small orange head. The aroma is faint, but what is there is of caramel. The flavor is of slightly burnt caramel combinede with hints of yeast, leading to a dry end, while the body is thin.

A dark orange beer with a small beige head. The aroma is lovely hoppy - with cascade hops being most dominant, but also with hints of yeast and caramel. The flavor is sweet primarily herbal, but also contains notes of caramel and slight hints of hops, while the end is very herbal and the mouthfeel smooth.

[Cask at GBBF 2004] A light orange beer with no head. The aroma is sweet with notes of fruit - especially peach. The flavor is dry hoppy with notes of both aroma and bitter hops - as well as notes of peach.
