Poured from a can. Aroma is fairly hoppy with some nice citrus notes and stone fruit with lighter tropical fruit and resin. Some light cracker malt notes. Pours a slightly hazy gold with a medium sized, moderateky thick, white head that slowly recedes to the edges where it lingers. Medium lacing and small legs. Flavor is slightly sweet with some nice cracker malt notes. Medium high bitterness. Some nice hop notes of citrus with some pine resin and lighter stone and tropical fruits. A hint of alcohol. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, a nice IPA with quite a bit of hop flavors and aroma. Light malt notes. Hop profile could be fruitier but its pretty nice.

22 ounce bottle into pint glass; no bottle dating, but is a recent release. Pours fairly clear nearly opaque dark brown color with a 1-2 finger dense tan head with good retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Light spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Aromas of milk chocolate, cocoa, molasses, honey, toffee, toast, brown bread, light plum/apple, light herbal, and roast/toast/yeast earthiness. Very nice aromas with good balance and complexity of dark/roast/bready malt, honey, yeast, and light earthy hop notes; with good strength. Taste of milk chocolate, cocoa, molasses, honey, toffee, toast, brown bread, light plum/apple, light herbal, and roast/toast/yeast earthiness. Light herbal/roasted bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of milk chocolate, cocoa, molasses, honey, toffee, toast, brown bread, light plum/apple, light herbal, and roast/toast/yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice complexity, balance, and robustness of dark/roast/bready malt, honey, yeast, and light earthy hop flavors; with a good malt/bitterness balance and zero cloying sweetness after the finish. Light-medium carbonation and medium bodied; with a very smooth and creamy mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is a very nice English brown porter style. All around good robustness, complexity, and balance of dark/roast/bready malt, honey, yeast, and light earthy hop flavors; and very smooth and easy to drink. A very enjoyable offering.

Pours lightly hazy golden yellow color with a 1-2 finger dense white head with great retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice spotty lacing clings down the glass, with a good amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Aromas of big honey, toast, biscuit, light caramel, light nuttiness, herbal, grass, light pepper, and yeast/toasted earthiness. Damn nice aromas with good balance and complexity of bready malt and light-moderate earthy hop notes; with great strength. Taste of big honey, toast, biscuit, light caramel, light nuttiness, herbal, grass, light pepper, and yeast/toasted earthiness. Fair amount of herbal/spicy bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of honey, toast, biscuit, light caramel, herbal, grass, light pepper, and yeast/toasted earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice robustness, complexity, and balance of bready malt and light-moderate earthy hop flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Very clean on lager flavors with zero yeast ester notes present. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, fairly crisp, and lightly creamy/bready mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with zero warming present after the finish as expected of 5.3%. Overall this is a damn nice Vienna lager. All around great robustness, complexity, and balance of bready malt and light-moderate earthy hop flavors; and very smooth and crisp to drink. A very enjoyable offering.

Bottle shared at RBWG ’15 Grand Tasting @ Coppertail, thanks to whomever shared this one, 21/02/15. Hazed orange amber with a moderate off white covering. Nose is dark fruit rinds, caramel, sweet tunes, light spice. Taste comprises light tropical fruit strains, pineapple chunks, sweet licks, candied fruit, dark fruit rinds. Medium + bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a light alcohol kick. Decent enough tropical infused quad, doesn’t get too hot or cloying.

Pours slightly hazy dark ruby red color with a 1-2 finger dense light khaki head with good retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Light spotty lacing clings around the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Aromas of tart cherry, raspberry, plum, green apple, red grape, red wine vinegar, caramel, toast, brown sugar, hay, straw, leather, musty funk, light pepper, and yeast earthiness. Damn nice aromas with good balance and complexity of fruity/funky/acidic yeast and dark/bready malt notes; with good strength. Taste of tart cherry, raspberry, plum, green apple, red grape, red wine vinegar, caramel, toast, brown sugar, hay, straw, leather, musty funk, light pepper, and yeast earthiness. Fair amount of fruity/tannic tartness and yeast spiciness on the finish; with lingering notes of cherry, raspberry, plum, green apple, red grape, vinegar, caramel, toast, brown sugar, hay, straw, leather, musty funk, light pepper, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Damn nice robustness and complexity of fruity/funky yeast and dark/bready malt flavors; with a great malt/yeast/tartness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, fairly crisp, and moderately acidic/bready mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is an excellent Flanders red ale. All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/funky/acidic yeast and dark/bready malt flavors; and very smooth and crisp to drink with balanced acidity. A very enjoyable offering.

Bottle provided by Willrunforbeer, dude... I thought this was a joke. Very funny. Ha ha ha. Dark orange color with thin head. We fussed over this, for a very long time. Aroma is overly spiced. Cinnamon, nutmeg and mild wood notes.
The flavor is overly spiced, heavy nutmeg, light peach thought the center. The wood notes kind of ruin the overall flavor. Well, it was fun to fuzz over this beer but the flavor I’m sure was a joke as well. Well done with jab at AB!

Thanks Brian for bringing this one. Split a few ways, heavily fussed over and enjoyed in a very tiny glass while we stare at our computers and sip tiny bits of it and take notes, etc. Hazy dark brown with some orange hues. 1 finger tight bubbled off-white head. Smells very pumpkin and nutmeg forward. not a lot of peach aroma. Not a very good beer. peach is light, a little bit of wood comes through lightly. Pumpkin is manageable and it’s slightly more boozy than the 8% suggests.Thin body. not great.

Taste of tart cherry, lemon, pear, apple, red grape, pepper, honey, cracker, biscuit, herbal, grass, and yeast earthiness. Good amount of yeast spice and fruity tartness on the finish; with lingering notes of cherry, lemon, pear, apple, red grape, pepper, honey, cracker, biscuit, herbal, grass, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Damn nice robustness and complexity of fruity/spicy yeast, tart cherries, and bready malt flavors; with a great yeast/fruit/malt balance and zero cloying sweetness after the finish. Medium carbonation and medium-full bodied; with a very smooth, fairly crisp, and lightly slick/acidic mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with only a light warmth lingering after the finish. Overall this is a damn nice fruited tripel style. All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/spicy yeast, cherries, and bready malt flavors; and very smooth to sip on for the ABV. A very enjoyable offering.
