More bourbon than tripel; soft notes of red apple, clove, vanilla, banana, and yeast, but the Bulleit really steals the show, offering up baking spice, cinnamon candy, and a touch of oak. Good, but I wish the tripel wasn’t so overshadowed by the barrel aging. Kinda torn on how to rate.

Half pour at the West End location. Pours dark brown, with a small, tan head. The aroma is cloves, rum agricole (grassy and funky), black pepper, and maple syrup. Sweet and grainy, with a lovely, boozy flavor. Heavy body, sharp, and sticky. Bold and delicious.

On tap pours out amber red color topped with a white head. Nose is nice tart sweet cherries wood barrel. Taste is more of the nice sweet tart cherries barrel kick.

16 oz. can. Pours a clearish/hazyish orange color, with a small, off-white head. The nose is passion fruit, rye, juniper, musty attic, dry straw, and a bit of lavender. Dry and dusty, with a strong bitterness. Medium body, crisp, and biting. Quality, if a bit abrasive.

Taster at the Lincoln Fill Station. Pours a clear, ruby, brown color, with a small, tan head. The nose is brandy, vanilla, chicory, cherry, and a bit of roast. Sweet and sugary, quite hot, and a little bitter. Heavy and syrupy. Interesting and fun.
