12 fl oz bottle. Pours clear and golden orange with a small white head. Aroma is dunkel. Toasted caramelish and breadish. Mild sweet and caramelish. Smooth and toasted malty finish.

Bottle 33 cl. Courtesy of Pinball. Pours a clear amber with a tiny off-white head. Very, very subtle roast in the nose. Thin body, hardly any roast, with a dry finish. Not much of a Dunkel at all. 080512

Tap @ Rackhouse. A touch hazy, mostly clear, darkish orange appearance with a pretty good white head. Somewhat acidic, sour, light berry, citrusy, a touch funky aroma. Dark grape, bready, a bit vinous, peach, richly sour, acidic flavor with a pretty sour, somewhat burning finish. Pretty intense.

Tap @ Rackhouse. Cloudy, brownish orange appearance with a white head. Very tart, stone fruit, rich apricot, peach fruity pit aroma. Intensely sour, super delicious, rich apricot, light peach, somewhat funky, oaky, lactic flavor with a lastingfruity sour finish. Nice one! Excellent fruits.

Black pour with slight light penetration around the edges - smooth but quite sweet, although that is not surprising for the style - a lot of vanilla bean and bittersweet chocolate - moderate coffee roastiness - milk chocolate finish and light hop pepperiness to compliment the light alcohol heat - pretty dang good Baltic porter.

Clear light copper pour - a decent take on the style - a lot of clean malt sweetness, but also notes of caramelized sugars and toffee - low but present hop notes - light alcohol heat - slight toasted bread notes - sweetness is a bit high in the finish, but it is a bock after all - decent.

Dark amber pour - nose of fairly rich maltiness and moderate nuttiness - fairly rich maltiness in the flavor, with notes of toffee, bready yeastiness, toasty notes - dries out through the middle, with mild roast, hazelnut - light hop bitterness, Biscuity notes and a touch of dry minerals finish it off - pretty solid dunkel.

Lightly hazy gold - nose of earthy and floral hops, light malt sweetness, minerals, biscuit - fairly smooth and creamy in the mouth - the malt sweetness is a bit high in the flavor, and the alcohol is a little more present than I would like, but when those earthy, grassy, peppery, lightly woody hops kick in, I can almost forgive that - sadly, the sweetness persists, making the finish a little syrupy - make this a 5%abv beer and it will be freaking dope.

Tap at Rackhouse - Clear gold with a light copper tint - light bodied - firm, but lightly creamy carbonation - a lovely balance of honeyed pils malt sweetness and grassy, lightly peppery hops - a light mineral note leads to a dry, lightly bitter finish - damn this is good - tell me why regular Coors can’t taste like this.
