Tap @ Old Chicago Foco Harmony. Clear, golden appearance with a pearl white head. Potent piney, ganja hoppy, somewhat resiny aroma that is quite nice. Somewhat grassy, rich, pale malty, big piney, ganja hoppy flavor. This one is a winner.

Tap @ Avery, doing the 10th Annual Boulder Strong Ale Festival. Pours black with a light brown head. Aroma of roasted malts, dark chocolate, bourbon, oak. Taste is malts, dark chocolate, vanilla, coffee, strong flavor of bourbon, booze. Full body, soft carbonation, alcoholic finish. 090312

Boulder Strong Ale Fest. Hazy, dark reddish brown appearance with a light brown head. Rich bourbon, thick caramel, toffee, vanilla, a touch spicy, oaky aroma. Thick, rich dark chocolate malty, vanilla, oaky, roasty flavor. Actually a very nice beer.

Sample at Ale Wine & Spirits in Powell on 03/01/2012. The beer is a clear copper-gold color with a medium somewhat fizzy white head that burns away steadily. Spotty lacing on the glass. Aroma of grassy hops and malt. Light to medium body with a grassy hops character and notes of caramel malt. The finish is mildly bitter with an herbal hops aftertaste. Straightforward, decent Lager overall.

Wynkoop Parade of Darks 2011. Light red appearance with a pinkish head. Effervescent, tart raspberry, slightly funky, barnyard aroma. Flavor is moderately funky, moderately sour, tart raspberry, effervescent, and well carbonated. Great first impression on their sours!

Sampled from the tap at 2011 FOBAB. Poured a hazy pinkish red with a white head that dissipated to the edges. Aroma had a lot of funk on it with barnyard and then backing sour cherry notes. Flavor lost some complexity as it was mainly sour cherries, with the funk barely coming out at all.

Sampled from the tap at 2011 FOBAB. Poured a hazy gold with a white head that dissipated to the edges. Aroma had a good amount of funk with a nice apricot tart note with a hint of citrus. Flavor was well balanced with some acid, sour apricot and a nice amount of funkiness. Surprisingly nice.

Sampled from the tap at 2011 FOBAB. Poured a clear pale gold with a white head that dissipated to the edges. Aroma had a decent amount of funk with backing peaches that are quite tart. Flavor had notes of earthy peaches that were slightly tart with a bit of a musty funk note.
