The Budelse Brouwerij (Budels Brewery) is a family business that still values the traditions that have guided the brewery for centuries now. It's been at the very heart of the village of Budel in Brabant since 1870. Founded 150 years ago by Gerardus Arts as Brouwerij de Hoop (the Hope Brewery). Today, the fourth generation of the Arts family is at the helm and we are just as committed to the brewing as our ancestors.

Pils proeverij Arendsnest. Heldere bleekgouden kleur met hoegenaamd geen schuim. Aroma in eerste instantie niet veel, wat fruitig, later wat mout erbij. Smaak is fruitig, licht bitter. Lichte body. Langzaam toenemende bitterheid in de afdronk.

Fles van Ekoplaza (35% korting). Troebele goudgele body met een dunne maar fijne witte kraag. Geur van wort en de gebruikelijke witbier aroma's: tarwe, zoetigheid, iets kruiden. Retronasaal komt daar nog wat zurigheid bij, van de tarwe dacht ik, maar het kan ook wat citrussap zijn. Smaak is ook citruszurig en iets zoetig. Lichte body. Een vaag bittertje in de afdronk. Golden with a white head. Malty aroma with some yeast notes and floral hops. Sweet taste with a full bodied sweet finish. Very old fashioned Belgian style tripel.

0,30 l bottle from Erzengel. Thanks a lot! Murky yellow golden with an one finger white foamy head in the glass. Orange aroma with a lot of yeast, wheat in the background. Taste is dry yeasty, orange and some banana in the second row, sulfur and wheat. Some bitterness in the second part. Below average carbonation for a Weizen. Okay.
