Description
The Columbus Brewing Company was originally founded in 1830. In 1988, the name was once again chosen to resurrect the proud brewing heritage of its namesake.
Our Brewmaster brings years of experience to the brewery including an apprenticeship with a German-trained Brewmaster, completed the Master Brewers progam at U.C. Davis, and brewing at several breweries throughout North America.
We are dedicated to exploring the flavors of American hops, subtleties of German-style lagers, the intensity of barrel-aged beers & everything in between.

This beer is a slightly hazy orange-gold color with a medium frothy white head that recedes gradually to a dense film. Partial rings of lace. Aroma of citrus, herbal hop, tropical fruit and malt. Medium body with flavors of citrusy hops, passionfruit and bready malt. The finish is mildly bitter with a fruity hop aftertaste. Pretty good variation overall.

Pint on tap at Little Grande, Columbus, courtesy of Kavita--thanks, K! Lightly hazy, bright golden yellow, thin head and light lacing. Aroma and taste are similar with strong citrus over fruit salad. Smooth texture, soft carbonation and finish as taste with mild bitterness.

Can for 2$ at chalet. Hehehh, I get it, the ABV on this is 6.66, quite ironic. Fairly clear, but a slight haze on top of pissy pale yellah. I'm not going to beat around the bush, oops I mean kush; but this is one intensely on style voguish trendsetting up to the minute terrible IPA. Nose is IPA hop perfume with a little bit of BO ass odor and diesel in there. First taste is all IPA, thicker ruder rannygazoo radicivorous ragmatical ramiform rapprochement. Very bitchass, bitchtits, bitchy, blowjob, bollocks, boner, brotherfucker, bullshit, bumblefuck bitter. At least there is some co2 in thar. It distracts me from its unemployable unattainable unattractive unstable unhappy unpleasant unacceptable ungainly unsatisfactory un-enjoyable nature. That is, to a lager lover. There, you have it. If you like IPA, I ask that you put this devils bush kush on yer bucket list. You'll probably enjoy it, my friendly brewverian!

Can for 2$. Pour is almost clear pale yellow orange. Nice head, craggy and fades just a little. Nose is grapefruit and IPA perfume. Big bitter initial impact. Rude for a lager lover. Terribly on style like chewing on green grapefruit rinds mixed with pine tar and minced bitter IPA hops, whew. Strong bitchy bastard bullocks bitter medicine. What an impact. More bitter than most impy IPA yet its not as viscous. Mouth coating crabby ass nasty nellie. Finish lasts forever, will somebody please get me an ice cold clean macro american bubbly pale lager for a chaser, whewwieee. If you like IPA, you need to try this bad ass brew.

Sample at the CBC Beer Hall. The beer is a clear reddish-copper color with a medium frothy off-white head that dissipates gradually to a film. Sticky strings of lace. Aroma of berry, wheat and malt. Light body with flavors of blueberry, wheat and doughy malt. The finish is vinous fresh blueberries and a touch of malt. Decent overall.
