Sample at the Grandview Digfest on 06/15/2013: The beer is a clear orange color with a medium off-white head that diminishes gradually. Stringy lacing. Aroma of hops, citrus and toasted malt. Light-bodied and crisp with flavors of hops, zesty citrus and sweet malt. The finish is moderately bitter with a fruity hops aftertaste. Above average session IPA overall.

Growler received in trade from Bencooper27, thanks for the opportunity! Pours a cloudy light golden color with a decent head and lice retention and lace. Aromas of citrus, pine, resin, garlic and a heavy dose of caramel and bready sweetness. The flavor follows the aroma but ends up a bit too much on the sweet malty side for my liking. Medium body with a light to moderate level of carbonation and a sweet resiny mouthfeel. Nice enough IPA but seemed a bit sweet for a dipa imho.

Received in trade from Bencooper27, thanks for the opportunity! Pours a slightly hazy light golden color with a good sized fluffy white head that recedes slowly leaving lots of lace on the way down. Aromas of grapefruit pine and resin with a slight earthy edge. Malt aroma? maybe? The flavor is lightly bready malt with a light sugar edge. Earthy pine and resin flavor with only hint of citrus. Light hop bitterness. Medium body with a moderate level of carbonation and a slick resinous mouthfeel. Very nice IPA, Iβm glad I was talked into trying it.

Sample from cask at the Big Tap In on 04/20/2013. Pours a murky reddish-amber color with a thin and wispy white head that disappears quickly. Short strings of lacing on the glass. Aroma or roast malt, oak and hops. Medium-bodied with an oaky character and notes of caramel malt and resiny hops. The finish is malty with an a woody aftertaste. Pretty good all around.

On draught at 101 Beer Kitchen. Pours a ruddy dark brownish-amber color with a medium foamy light beige head that diminishes slowly. Aroma of roast malt, dark fruit and sweet spice. Medium to full body with flavors of dark malt, raisins, figs and yeast. Rosemary is subtle which is good because I had concerns that it would taste like decroative soap or something. The finish is malty with an earthy, fruity yeast aftertaste. Good all around.

12 ounce bottle into pint glass, bottled on 10/31/2012. Pours hazy and cloudy reddish orange color with a 1 finger foamy off white head with decent retention, that reduces to a minimal ring of lace. No glass lacing, and some moderate streaming carbonation. Aromas of caramel, brown sugar, apple, cinnamon, gingerbread, and light floral. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance and complexity of malt and spices notes; with moderate strength. Taste of caramel, apple, brown sugar, cinnamon, toast, gingerbread, clove, pepper, and light floral. Lingering notes of caramel, brown sugar, apple, cinnamon, toast, gingerbread, and clove on the finish for a bit. Nice balance and robustness of malt and spice flavor; with a solid malt/spice balance and a fair amount of cloying sweetness/spice flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a fairly creamy and slick mouthfeel that is good. Alcohol is very well hidden with only a slight warming noticed after the finish. Overall this is a solid winter warmer. Good robustness and solid balance of flavors; and very smooth to drink. An enjoyable offering.

Pils type glass draft (~ 20 oz) at the Columbus Brewing bar in the Columbus airport. The pour is a lightly hazed golden with a small white head. The aroma is soft floral and citrus fruit hop, along with grainy malt. The taste is somewhat muted hop up front, floral, resin, earth, then the grainy biscuit malt carries the finish, which is dry and clean. The palate is light to medium bodied, with soft carbonation. Nice mineral element in the back as well. Easy drinker.
