On tap at Brewers Ball Dallas. Pours a clear amber with small off white head that lasts. The aroma is strong honey and wheat. Medium body, sweet malt, wet biscuit, honey, dry finish, decent.

Sampled because the can looked like it was ready to pop (and it was), and given that i’ve had exploding four corners cans in the past, I figured I’d drink it now. Deep dark brown coloured body with a rich, six centimetre tall rich brown head that fades relatively fast. Aroma of milk, lactose, roasted malt, oats, vanilla and notes of cherries. Medium-bodied; Rich dark chocolate flavours with hints of vanilla, oak, dry hops and a bit of bitter rye and specialty grains. Aftertaste is rich and very bittering from both the malts and the dark chocolate. Overall, a nice rich and very complex beer with a lot of bittering notes, but some light sweetness and definitely deep earthy tlavours throughout. Extra points for these great cans that double as cups to drink the beer out of. Aside from a small pour into a very small (three ounce) glass, I drank this one out of the can cup. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Spec’s in Dallas, Texas on 11-November-2015 for US$2,09 sampled at home in Washington on 06-May-2016.

Crisp, clear golden and light amber coloured body with a super large, seven centimetre tall just off-white micro-foamed head. Aroma of soap, grass, perfume, citrus and slightly resinous hops, all with some light sugars and touch of malt. Medium-bodied; Assertive grassy and herbal hop flavour throughout with a nice malt backbone, some subtle sugars and a good grassy finish. Aftertaste shows some subdued earth, a little malt bitterness, some earthy hops and a more complex finish with caramelised sugars and a touch of herbs. Overall, a very nice IPA that is purely non-West Coast and shows a good complexity throughout. Plus, add in the awesome can and you’ve got a good option if you live in Texas! I sampled this twelve ounce can purchased from Spec’s Liqour in Dallas, Texas on 01-September-2015 for US$1,88 sampled at home in Washington on 10-November-2015, just a few minutes before heading right back to Dallas!

Crisp golden coloured body with a thin off-white head. Aroma of alcohol, light malt, herbs, flowers and a little sweetness from honey. Light to Medium-bodied; Strong herbal and grassy flavours at first with some malt and alcohol noticeable and a dry finish. Aftertaste is deep and herbal with a very dry character showing some malt and a good deal of alcohol still - rather pungent. Overall, a decent saison with less of a herbal quality and more of a simple dry malt flavour with more alcohol than normal, but there is something that should be said about these Four Corners Cans - they are amazing, easily the best beer vessel i’ve purchased in a long time, if not ever. I sampled this twelve ounce pull top can purchased from Spec’s in Dallas, Texas on 01-September-2015 for US$2,09 sampled at home in Washington a few minutes after finishing the USMC Marathon on 25-October-2015.

Can: (5.4%, 20 IBU) Nearly clear, deep gold, thin white head. Honey, grain aroma. Taste is faint rye, honey, barley malt..... Sweet, with a slightly spicy bittering at the finish. Decent.

16 oz draft at Blind Butcher in Dallas, Texas. The pour is a clear golden copper with a minimal white head. Nice lace left behind on the glass. The aroma is herbal, earthy hop with a cracker grain malt. In the back on the nose is a spice, almost rye character. The taste is round herbal yeast along with the earth hop and a bit of a weird sweet near the back. The spice is present, again, it has a rye character but that’s not quite it. The palate is medium bodied with natural carbonation and a dry mineral finish. Solid Pale Ale.

10 oz. draft at the brewery tasting room in Dallas, Texas. The pour is mostly clear golden with a 1/2 inch white head which is lasting. The aroma is faint cracker malt, along with floral hop. The taste is grain, bitter hop, grass hay and the cracker malt carries the back. The palate is light to medium bodied with active carbonation and bitter grain finish.

Can. Pours a hazy gold with small white head. The aroma is caramel and wet biscuit. Medium mouth citrus, pine, light bitterness, decent.

[ As Four Corners Local Buzz ].Clear medium orange yellow color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, pale malt, light to light moderate hoppy, fruity, grass. Flavour is moderate sweet and bitter with a long duration, fruity, malty, pale malt. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20140516]
