Draught @ the brewery. Opaque dark brown with small foamy tan head, mocha aroma, bitter coffee taste with chili in the background, thin body, long bitter finish. Nice brew, a bit thin but the late chili kick is satisfying.

Draught @ Malt & Mold. Cloudy greenish yellow with small frothy white head, doughy aroma with lime, medium carbonation, salty taste with lime though coriander not really discernible, thin body, long finish. The combination is not entirely palatable.

Draught @ Solid State. Murky brown with small frothy beige head, faint citrus aroma, low carbonation, medium bitter citrusy taste with a bit of roasted malt and pineapple flavor, smooth body, long finish. A nice IPA not really like other black IPAs I've tried.

At the source: pours hazy pale with white head. Aroma is yeasty, light rye spice... no ginger in the nose or taste. Taste is pretty light. Light spiciness. Rye is subdued. Pretty solid light saison. I guess he can pull light beers off too.

At the source: pours amber with a small head. Aroma is caramel, light booze, hefty malts. Taste is sweet and not too bitter. Slightly boozy. Not super complex. Meh.

At the source: pours hazy yellow with a white head. Aroma is pretty correct and in keeping with the style. Taste is weird. Little sweet. Sharp pinyness. Weirdly light. Not my fave.

Reviewed from notes.
Growler with Doug and Henry.
This was poured into a becher pint glass.
The appearance was a dark brown color with a thin off white foamy head that fell off at a moderate pace. Sly roaming lace.
The aroma had some milk chocolate, dark chocolate, good portion of roasty coffee beans, light cake. Lightly hopped in an earthy fashion.
The flavor moderately blended the prior mentioned aromas steadily together. Sly roasty to sweet sort of aftertaste rolling into the finish.
The feel was about medium bodied, perhaps just a tad under with a good sessionability about it. Good carbonation. ABV felt appropriate.
Overall, nicely done porter well worthy of having again.
