(Bottle, taster, Stockholm Beer & Whisky Festival, 8 Oct 2021) Pale brown colour with brief head. Malty nose with notes of caramel, dark bread, toffee and juniper twigs. Malty taste with caramel, toast, raisins, juniper and a sweetish finish with low bitterness. Medium body, quite sweet. Not quite as complex as traditional homebrews, but tasty and a good shot at making a slightly more drinkable version. Quite nice.

On tap at the Black Sheep Arms, Visby. I was excited when I got this. It had a nice soft apple aroma but otherwise clean lager smell. Concerns arose when it was essentially flat with no carbonation. But then the taste was nice and clean, felt like a solid lager. Then everything fell apart with the aftertaste. What I initially thought was a good almost pilsner like bitterness, ended with a horrific chemically ending that was impossible to shake. Had to ask for a different drink in the end - must be an infected batch. Let's hope for next time.
