750mL bottle, pours a cloudy bright golden orange with a small white head. Aroma brings out big barnyard funk notes, some toffee apple sweetness, and a touch of champagne-like effervescence. Flavour is wonderfully complex, with lots of barnyard funk, champagne-like effervescence, and some toffee apple sweetness. Real nice blend of dry funk and apple sweetness.

750mL bottle from La Bodega, pours a hazy golden with a quickly-dissipating white head. Aroma brings out a very nice barnyard funk character, hay, musty apple skins, and champagne-like effervescence. Flavour is fairly dry, with a champagne-like effervescence, moderate barnyard funk, light hay, and a touch of residual sweetness. Really nice use of the apples and nicely funky. Excellent.

A lovely traditional French cider, although relatively sweet. Plenty of apple, fruity, refreshing but also light and summery. Still clearly a proper cider, not just some apple lemonade. A very enjoyable beverage, no more no less.

Vintage 2018, 6%. Opens with a loud pop. Unclear orange with some bubbles on top. Sweet rustic apples, light tones of caramel, old wood, tart marmelade round the edges.
