This was the standout for me among the Hill Top beers at Birre in Festa. Made with smoked Irish seaweed this stout is a cola black with a tan head. The seaweed gives it that umami savouriness with a touch of smoke & roasted dark malts. The taste is great a lovely smokey roasted chocolate.

On tap at Birre in Festa. This IPA from a 4 month old brewery is made with cascade, tomahawk & si come clocking in at 6.5% it has a glowing copper color with a well balanced hoppy aroma which has hints of biscotti. The taste is clean - a bitter straight up IPA no muss no fuss.

On tap at Birre in Festa. Made with Tomohawk hops this Light IPA is a cloudy straw gold with a thick white head. Light bodied with a crisp bitterness, quite bitter but balanced a good Session IPA.

Hand pump at the Birre in Festa festival. 4.2% it poured a nice amber gold with an aroma of malty caramel. The body was a bit too light & not as silky as I usually get from cask ales but the taste was pretty good a mildly bitter caramel malt beer.

They are still dialing in this recipe but the version I tried was a pale light gold with a nose of crackery malts & lightly fruity. A blend of Helles and a Blond Ale. The taste was crisp wheat crackers & a touch of fruits. You donโ€™t notice the 6.2% at all apparently his efficiency was more than expected making this a dangerously light easy drinking 6.2%!

Pigs Ear. Cask. Opaque black - brown beer, small pale tan head. Palate is light and semi dry. Mild fine carbonation. Smooth and tangy dark malts, some lactose like sweetness. Nice generic fruits. Mild dark chocolate. Light dry finish. Not bad.
