On tap at Tandy's Alehouse. Pours hazy gold. Mango, pineapple, pine, grapefruit, honey. Medium body. Good. Rerate: at the brewery. Same notes but it really pops fresh from the brewery, lovely soft mouthfeel. Bumped up a few points.

Bottle. Clear amber with a stable dense white head. Aroma of grapefruit, pine needles, bread crust. Light bodied. Sweeter than suggested by the aroma with caramel and some mango blunting the grapefruit a bit. Moderate bitterness.

Middie on tap at Dr Syntax, Hobart. Ephemeral nose of grain. Pale yellow beer with thin white head. Laces well. Light fine carbonation. Flat and clean in the mouth, finish is doughy malt, almost plastic. Late grain rescues it. Easy drinking.

330ml bottle into glass. Whoa! Gusher! Nose is a touch of malt and some sour fruit notes. Pale hazy amber beer with enormous amount of foam on top due to gushing over exuberantly. Every small pour brings more foam. Taste is zingy then some stale hops and a weird sweetness right at the end. Not great, wildly excited and unbalanced.

Bottle (The Tasmanian Shop). Brownish amber with a light beige head that fades rather quickly. 3- Aroma of chocolate, grass, chicory, some earth and nuts. Lowish carbonation. Malty with mocha and a little bread, some nuts, modest grassy and slightly peppery bitterness. A Dunkel? Not the sort of thing I really go for but nicely enough done.

Bottle (The Tasmanian Shop) Hazy pale amber with a modest white head. Aroma of marmalade-like grapefruit, citrus blossoms, bread crusts. Lowish carbonation. Nice citrus and just slightly crusty bread as in the aroma, but it’s a bit yeasty where the citrus would shine more if it were cleaner. Moderate bitterness with some pine creeping into the finish. Nearly. [3.3]Bottle (Bicheno Big Bargain Beachfront Bottleshop). Clearly fresher, cleaner. Good beer.
