That's 30 years of Taste of Tasmania, apparently. Bottle. Gold with a large and growing white head. Aroma of lime, citrus blossoms, light spices, hedgerow berries, very light biscuit. Is there a little zingy note? Light bodied, a bit fizzy. Some honeyed biscuit but reasonably dry. An array of quite punchy hop notes including berries, spices, lime and some resin. Pretty good.

Bottle. Dark brown with a mid tan head. Unusual brûlée topping-like aroma with mocha and licorice. Quite light bodied. Not all that sweet but with (I guess what you’d expect) a rumbling depth to what sweetness there is. The smoke was not obvious in the aroma but a bit comes through later. There’s a surprising figgy note too as well as licorice and bread. Interesting but didn’t quite grab me.

Mine is 6.8% too. Amber with an inch of white head that lasts well. Restrained aroma is earthy and bready with spiced oranges, some peach. Light bodied, moderate carbonation. Unfocused with earthy and vague fruity flavours (peach, orange, apple) that have that boiled travel sweet feel to them. Doesn’t dry out much. Bitterness struggles to make its presence felt. I don’t quite know what was intended with this one. OKish.

Bottle (The Tasmanian Grocer). Slightly hazy gold with a large white head that never disappears. Torrents of bubbles. Clean juicy grapefruit aroma with some lime leaf, hint of cantaloupe, hay. Lightish bodied, carbonation is high. Moderate sweetness before surprisingly firm bitterness. Slightly smudged bread and hay. Fruity hops have citrus, barely ripe tropical notes. Good stuff.
