Bottle. Amber with a modest beige head. Aroma of caramel, light spices, hints of dates. A little less sweet than expected with some light roasted malt and chocolate as well as caramel and dried fruit. Moderate bitterness. A nice array of mainly malty things.

Bottle. Pale golden amber with a dense white head. Aroma is a bit meek with biscuit, pears, vague citrus, pepper. BB 6/16 but seems a little tired... but -- a swig and the citrus is more grapefruity, the malt is sweet but more hay than biscuit. Helped along by a dry finish that’s moderately bitter and somewhat peppery. OK.

From a 330ml bottle on 14/11/2011. Pours a pale golden with a decent head which disappears fast. Has a light fruity aroma (a touch of passionfruit). A mild fruitiness also presents in the flavour, along with some subtle hops, but everything is so subdued that the experience is a bit underwhelming. The body is a bit thin and watery. Might be a decent APA if the flavour dial was turned up a couple of notches.

Pours pale amber with a long lasting sudsy head.Nose shows grassy hops, sweet light malt and hay. Also some biscuity malt, but very light on.Similar flavours, somewhat sweet, light malt and hop presence, mild bitterness, a mix of grass and hay.Way too much carbonation.

From a 330ml bottle on 22/4/2011. Pours a light golden with a nice head. Has a slight aroma of grass and malt. There’s quite a bit of bit of sweetness up front, with a good dash of herbal, citrus hops. I’m not sure why this one is getting such a caning on here. It’s actually a pretty decent pilsener.

Pours dark amber with a large, growing head.Nose shows nutty and caramelised malt with some soft spicy hops in the background. Not much of that transfers through as flavours however, it’s pretty light on, very shortlived.Very watery body.

From a 330ml bottle on 12/4/2010. This is a decent amber ale. Decent nose with roasted malt and caramel flavours dominating. Has a good sweet bitter balance. Let down a little by the carbonation, which is over the top.

Pours golden with a very large head.Aroma is very English, with plenty of caramel and toffee. There is some light floral hops, but its nothing compared to the malt.Flavours show similar malt characteristics but with a hint of grainy bread as well. Finishes with a light bitterness.Body is a bit watery.

Bottle. Pours orange, medium fluffy white head. Sweetish malts and spicy/ flowery hops on the nose. Quite thin. The hops are prominent enough, but that’s due to a lack of maltiness. OK but timid.
