Bottled@GBBF2011. Pitch black colour, small brown head. Aroma is liquorice, alcohol, mild roasted malts as well as some slight coffee and toasted notes. Flavour is dark fruits, wood, liquorice, alcohol, some slight toasted notes as well as mild toffeeish notes.

Brought all the way from the land of the Aussie by ndon. Thanks a lot Nick. Pours black as hell with a thin tan head. Decent intense impy stout aroma, lots of roasted malts thick creamy malts on aroma. It’s intense in the mouth. really lovely intense choc. Dark Belgian choc. Dry finish. hides the alcohol well. Is this the best Australian beer I’ve ever had? Well possibly. Fresh Little Creatures in Freo takes some beating. It’s a big beer but there is a reasonably amount of drinkability. Just a touch of newspaper on the swallow. Bit too roasty dryness on the finish? bit of fish oil in there somewhere too. Still it’s a pretty good beer. Cheers NIck.

Bottle 750ml. @ chriso s Pre-GBBF Shindig 2011.Clear dark brown colour with a large, frothy to creamy, good lacing, mostly to fully lasting, light beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, caramel, brown sugar, moderate hoppy, orange - citrus, light grapefruit. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long to average duration, burnt sugar, hoppy. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20110730]

Bottle from GBBF, 2011. Drank at home. Black pour with a tan head. Vanilla, chocolate and a little coffee aroma. Quite a vinous feel. Burnt sugar, rum raisin and dark fruit flavour. Smooth alcohol burn. Warm, sweet finish.

Bottled@The Chriso Pre-GBBF Shindig 2011 "Donkey Dork Lord Edition". Amber colour, small head. Aroma is caramel, alcohol, wood and some slight herbal notes. Flavour is alcohol, some fruityness, caramel, mild floral notes as well as earth and some slight yeastyness as well. Pleasantly balanced, but feels a bit young still.

Bottle at GBBF 2011. It pours orange-yellow with a thick, foamy white head. The nose is perfumed, sweet orange, pear, nut and sweet caramel. The taste is orange, tangerine, red grape, red apple, hay, straw and dough, with sweet citrus in the finish. The body is quite thin and the carbonation is average. Not bad.
