About
Ronald started working as a brewer in 1990, at brewery De Raaf. Few years later he lefts the Netherlands for Finland. He stayed in the beer business in various roles, and after a short break, he returned in 2015 to start The Flying Dutchman Nomad Brewing Company, to brew his own recipes at de Proefbrouwerij and Brouwerij Anders. He brews out of love for beer, and only works with the best and most passionate people. That’s why his beers are exceptional – full of character and flavour.

0.33 l bottle from 'OnderNulPuntVijf', best before October 2022. Hazy, golden amber with a medium large, frothy, slowly diminishing, white head. Sweetish, gently fruity, minimally herbal-spicy aroma of lemongrass, lime and maybe traces of ginger. Slightly sweet, moderately sour, quite fruity taste of lemongrass, lime, lemon juice and hints of ginger, followed by a short, slightly tart finish. Thin to medium body, gently astringent and slightly effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Tasty and refreshing!

330 ml bottle, from Bris Ølutsalg, Jørpeland. ABV is 4.7%, 40 IBU. Hops are Citra, EKG, Syrian Goldings and Sorachi Ace. Spiced with orange peel, coriander and Grains of Paradise. Pale straw colour, large white head. Aroma of lactic acid, lemons, orange peel and mild spices. Definitely sour flavour, but not quite as extreme as I expected. Distinct spices, and fairly sharp bittering hops in the finish.

330 ml bottle, Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 4.0%. Opaque orange colour, moderate white head. Strong aroma of rosehips, hibiscus flowers, oak and lactic acid. Moderately sour and refreshing flavour, with the same elements as the aroma. Moderate hops.

Sample, thanks oh6gdx! Black, creamy beige head. Tart nose with black currant, ash and metal. Tart with medium body and clean, rounded mouthfeel. Licorice, citric acid and black currant sorbet. Metallic finish.

33cl bottle from Abeervinum, Rimini, Italy. Pours medium transparency, golden, with fine white foam. Aroma is grapes and fruity. Body is average, with a nice carbonation. Taste is intensely sour, sapid as well. Final is short and clean.
