Description
In 1903 sterft Willem Geenen, 63 jaar.

Bottle at Hops, Crewe. Pours golden amber with a medium sized frothy almost white head. Some lacing and fairly high carbonation. The aroma as malts and bread rolls plus some hoppy hints. In the mouth it is sweet and creamy with malts to the fore, but also a little underlying sharpness with grains and continental hops prominent. Some grassy traces later on leading to a slightly bitter finish. Not bad at all – but not particularly exciting either !

Bottle at home. Clear golden with short lasting head. Lots of caramel, fresh oak, cardboard, chalk, grassy, soft spruce, juniper, lime leaves, metallic, CO2. Light sweet and bitter. Over light bodied with soft carbonation. It's not horrible, but not amazing either.

Bottle. Bit hazy golden. Sweet malts, cloves, coriander, bready, peach, orange blossom. Medium sweet and bitter. Medium bodied. Not sure why this tastes so much like spicy yeast, quite drinkeable but not great.
