Description
In 1903 sterft Willem Geenen, 63 jaar. Zoon Bernard en dochter Christine nemen samen de leiding op zich. De naam blijft gehandhaafd. Na het overlijden van Willem sr. in 1978 nemen Ben en Willem jr. samen de leiding van Lindeboom op zich. In 2013 vindt de feestelijke opening van de nieuwe brouwzaal plaats in aanwezigheid van Mevrouw Geenen (3e generatie) en Bernd Geenen (5e generatie) alsmede Paul Joosten, algemeen directeur.

[Bottled at Stockholm Beer Festival] Clear amber, airy head. Bready malt aroma. Medium sweet with rounded mouthfeel and medium body. Roasty and dominated by buttery malt. Near no hops, instead it finishes with some unusual popcorn flavour.

300ml bottle. Pale golden. Average white head. Light malty aroma. Medium mouthfeel. Hints of hoppy sweetness in a short lived flavour, but full of freshness that went very well with the Easter lamb.

Bottled. Pale golden with a decent white head. Grassy, malty aroma with some hops in the background. Malty-hayish flavor that has some floral-like bitterness. Clean, crisp bitterness in the finish. Nice body for a pilsener. The mouthfeel has some sweet stickyness. (060414)

300 ml bottle, now available in Norway (Vinmonopolet). Golden colour, large head. Fairly malty aroma for a pilsener, flavour is also relatively sweet for a pils, there’s some unpleasant cardboard / boiled vegetables hints in the background, tolerable hops in the finish. A drinkable pils after all, but it can’t match the best Czech and German pilseners.

Bottle: Amber coloured, mid-sized, quite dense off-white head; fresh bread, caramel, spices (coriander ?) and sweet (roast-) malts in the nose; sweetish, spicy beginning; slightly sweet-bitter flavour; short, sweetish and malty/fruity finish with a distinctive bitter touch. Nice "dutch" version of the Altbier-style........................

(bottle) Slightly hazy red-amber colour with particles floating around and a foamy off-white head. Slightly sweet lemon peel/citrus fruity aroma with herbal hops and coriander. Slightly sweet malty and fruity taste, light to medium body, fizzy mouthfeel, mainly dry and light bitter, fruity and herbal hoppy finish. Nice interpretation of an Alt.

Bottled (BB 05/2006)
Copper brown color, small off-white head. Lemony hoppy aroma - all altbier elements are here so far. Unfortunately also flavor is typical altbier - sharp malty, lemony hoppy and fresh but boring.
