Bottle 0.5l. Clear, dark-brown colour. Short, beige head. Good lacing. Aroma is full of dark, bitter chocolate, cacao and subtle note of vanilla. There is also a lot of cocolate and cacao in taste. Beer is medium body, bitter at the beginning and sweet in aftertaste with a little bit astringent finish. It warms inside and burns a little bit in the throat but all is very nice. Decent porter with very clear notes of added ingredients especially cacao nibs.

Bottle. Amber with a white head. Aroma of spiced caramel, berries, passionfruit. Lightish bodied with fairly high carbonation. Not all that much sweetness with bread and some boiled blackcurrant lolly. Tropical notes are pretty light - some passionfruit, feijoa, pineapple. Spicy with firm bitterness. A while ago this might have been called a new world hopped bitter.

Bottle. Deep red brown with an inch of beige head. A: layers of spiced bread and toffee. Rich, creamy. Lowish carbonation. Tastes as it smells until a slightly drying grassy bitterness takes a bit of a hold towards the end. Pretty good.

On tap at Beervana. Pours black. Lavender, tea, toast, dark chocolate. Quite unusual, and the lavender is quite pungent, but I think it works quite well.

On tap at Beervana. Pours brown. Cinnamon, lemon zest, rose, something really odd in the aftertaste. Couldn’t quite put my finger on what the flavours were, but I found it quite messy with an unpleasant finish.
