The brewery calls it a Triple IPA. There is no reason that we want to know better here Shortlived beige-cream head over foxy metallic amber beer. Sweetish, nutty, nectarine, honeycookies. Sweetish yet resiny flavour (also a quite resiny sticky feel). Half-dried grapes, even almost dates. Backthroat piney resin, if subdued. Chewy, oily, even ultra oily feel? Good carbonation, if stifled by the maltbill. Alcoholwarmth. A triple IPA of 12.5% ABV... no cold feet in Kiwiland! Many thanks to Joren and Daniel!
pale ale, brown & bit hazy, very low carbonation. Fair bit of tropical fruit, pineapple, medium bitterness. OK but not special
Looks fine but tastes not so good, bitter with not much else. I guess I don't like Chinook hops.

440 ml can. Pours a hazy deep gold with lots of particulates if you swill the can. Small off white head. Aroma is golden malts, some dank hops & a bit of booze. Beer is medium weight with the hop bitterness up front & long lasting, a rich malt base underneath and off dry.
Suit folk who like a higher ABV IPA with long lasting bitterness & a full mouth feel.

440ml can. Pours a hazy deep gold with a vigorous white head that fades to wisps of froth. Aroma is pine and turps. Beer is medium weight, with a solid malt backbone as per the ABV, lots of pine needle & a bit of tropical fruit, but not in the chewy hazy style. Medium bitter. Finishes a bit short with the pine lingering. OK but then I'm not a Gen X'er.

440ml can. Pours a slightly murky mid gold with a small white head. Aroma is quite strong salt, sour beer & I presume the Umeboshi fruit (never had one). Beer is light and salty! Glad they only "lightly" salted it. Apart from the salt there is a mild fruit sour with a for me hard to pick fruit flavour. I could do without the salt but apart from that this is a pleasant & thirst quenching summer beer.

440ml can. Pours a cloudy pale gold wit a decent white head that fades to a few mm. Aroma is moderately strong & interesting with bubblegum & coriander. Beer is light to medium weight, near dry & with a higher level of hop bitterness than most Wit beers I have tried. This seems to over power the subtle flavours of a typical Wit. Not a success.

440ml can. Pours an opaque hazy copper with a short lived tan head. Aroma is medium strength but clearly fresh hops. Beer is almost heavyweight due to the non filtered nature but is nearer mid weight, golden malt base & fresh hop flavours. A little short in length but smooth, just off dry and if you like the fresh hop style a nice beer.

Pours a just slightly hazy deep gold with a big golden head. Aroma is moderate traditional hops. Beer is medium weight with the golden malt base, slightly sweet & true to the label, assertive bitterness.
Not my preferred style of IPA but pretty true to what they say they tried to brew.
